It’s not bad. The window kit is not adequate because it doesn’t stay in the window . Hose keeps falling off

Bought this in May 2022. It started giving me a problem. The AC making crackling noise and water starts coming out the AC. I did drain the AC still didn’t fix. Called GE, they will send a rebate for the same amount I purchased. But the process to get the rebate is taking so long. I basically have to purchase a brand new one and they will send a check 6 to 8 weeks. What kind of a process is this?

Barely cooled my single bedroom at all. The only thing this machine can do consistently is flip your breaker. Would randomly turn itself off and blow hot air into my room. If you’re looking for something that blows cool air ONLY if the air outside is cold save yourself a couple hundred bucks and buy a box fan; which worked way harder than this AC.

This is a great portable AC unit. I like that it can easily be stored away during the cooler months so it isn't taking up my window view. The included vent plate is easy to install, and the included gasket gives it a nice seal around the window. This unit works with both horizontal and vertical window openings, so that's great news. Unboxing was a bit annoying, but that's my fault, undo the straps and the whole box lifts off the base. I struggled trying to open it like a normal package from the top until I realized my mistake. I like the wifi connection feature, being able to turn it on or off without a direct line of site is nice. I can turn it on while I'm in the living room (it's in my bedroom) tidying up before bed, and it's on and my room cooling down while I'm doing other things. It cools down my bedroom pretty quickly, which I'm thankful for. I have also used the dehumidifying feature as well, and that works really well. I used to have a standalone dehumidifier, it's nice to now have one single unit that does both. It's not annoyingly loud at full speeds, but you'll notice it when it's on for sure. It's quieter than I was expecting so that's good, but you will definitely notice it when it's going. The slower fan speeds make it less obtrusive. Overall this is a great AC unit, definitely buy it early before the inevitable summer heatwave hits.

Everything is great except for the exhaust tube and window panels. They dont fit, exhaust tube keeps coming out of ac unit. Difficult to work with.

The GE portable air conditioner is overall a great air conditioner. It was easy to install in our slide window. There are very few parts and it’s pretty self explanatory. There wasn’t anything describing how to install the foam weatherstripping, but I wrapped it around the window insert where it made sense, and it helped to snug the insert into place. The unit works great to keep the small bedroom very comfortable and the air less stuffy. The room itself is under 200 square feet, but it attaches to a Jack & Jill bathroom with another bedroom. It worked nicely to cool down both bedrooms. Temperature can be set either manually or with the app. It’s easy to use and operate. The only downside is the unit is a little loud while running. It might be too loud to run overnight while sleeping if one is a light sleeper. We have been cooling down the room during the day and then utilizing a ceiling fan to keep the air circulated. The unit itself is compact, so it can be tucked under the window out of the way. Overall, it is a nice compact unit that does the job it says it will.

I can't speak to how this unit works. I have not yet been able to hook it up. The installation instructions only tell you how to assemble the plate for the window. There are no instructions on how to install it. The instructions say to screw the hose into the panel to secure it; however, there is no hole in the panel to receive the screw so it just falls out. There are no screws included to mount the panel to the window. There are no security brackets included to secure the window after it is hooked up. The hose broke away from the ring which attaches into the unit while trying to get the hose to stay attached to the window panel. I am going to have to duct tape or super glue the hose back together with the ring in order to install it on a unit.

It’s ok. It runs pretty quietly. I think it’s a bit overpriced.

Works great, keeps small apartment cool. Just need to be mindful of electricity costs in the summer.

It doesn't work well. It shuts on and off very oftern. Not recommend at all.

I’ve had this for just under 2 months. yesterday the cold stopped kicking in and it only blows the fan regardless of the setting, temperature it’s set to, plug it’s in, etc. the filter is clean…it’s brand new! Liked it a lot up until now any suggestions would be welcome

they over estimate the sq ft it's more like 350 has a hard time cooling anything over 400 sq ft the insignia 350sq ft works better than this
