It was hard to visit with the unit running, and the t.v. needed to be turned up about 6 clicks to hear it again. We returned the unit to look for a quieter solution.

Wish condenser stayed on longer at times. Never had to empty the water or drain anything until end of season, then I just opened the plugs to dry it out for storage. Pretty loud but not louder than comparable items.

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This portable unit is an excellent choice - quiet enough to be used in my master bedroom with the door closed at night, as well as a complementary unit to my other regular window unit in my living room to keep my living space cool. I use this in the bedroom because of the unconventional windows in the bedroom (awning windows, which fold out from a hinged top. I did have to get creative with the vent by cropping a make-shift covering for the remainder of the window but it was an easy task and have not had any efficiency issues or gaps.
