||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this unit as a replacement of a GE portable AC I purchased a year prior that was malfunctioning in which GE replaced through their Goodwill rebate program. I live in NYC so I only use an AC in the summer and It worked fine the first summer and now a year later my replacement unit is having an issue and needs to be replaced through the same Goodwill program! At this point I wish they would just refund me so I can buy a different brand instead of forcing me to purchase another GE unit which will probably need to be replaced next year anyway!

Breaking After Two Years

One broke after two summers. A second just broke weeks after. Was hoping it was a mass production fluke. I would have to say now it is not. Moving on to another brand. Disappointed.

Use another one for the bedroom area. You will not walk into a frigid house, but it is not uncommon to see a 79 degree house when it was 90 plus outside with lots of humidity. Noticeably comfortable inside. Worth the purchase for my situation. Has been reliable so far.

The AC making crackling noise and water starts coming out the AC. I did drain the AC still didn’t fix. Called GE, they will send a rebate for the same amount I purchased. But the process to get the rebate is taking so long. I basically have to purchase a brand new one and they will send a check 6 to 8 weeks. What kind of a process is this?
