I love this stove! The even heating took a minute to get used to! I never knew stoves could be so different from each other. The center griddle is amazing. Bacon doesn't curl up! And the steam cleaning feature in the oven is heaven sent. Best purchase in a long time!

A very nice stovetop, the burners make for even heat on your pan. This is a bougie on a budget kind of appliance. The middle griddle is also very useful for a variety of things. Love it!

Great stove, the griddle in the middle is great for pancakes, grilled cheese and even steaks. The steam clean oven works great to get the tough stuff to just wipe right off.

The gas stove is functional and attractive. The overall appearance is similar to more expensive stoves that are wifi.
After 30 years with electric stoves, I have returned to the gas due to better cooking temperatures and ease of cleaning the top from spills. The griddle is amazing for pancakes, and all meat. It doesn't have a tray for grease. You need to wipe excess as you cook. The oven is large and great for large turkeys and dual foods. Satisfaction guaranteed !

This is the second time we have purchased this stove. We have them in both of our rental units. They look very sharp, and our first tenant to get one raved about it, so we purchased it again. It also saved us from having to move a gas connection that was 2-3 inches out from the wall because the back has an indention about a foot and a half high that allowed for it to be pushed all the way against the wall over the pipe. Score!

This is the 2nd of these stoves I bought. Left the other at my last home for new owners to enjoy. Love the stove top and the way it cooks. Easy clean up top and best heavy duty grates and griddle. Makes easy predictable cooking with amazing ease of clean up and still looks good yrs later. Buy it. You won’t regret it.

This is such a nice oven compared to our original gas oven. Our old one, which was probably 20 years old, would take up to 30 minutes just to preheat. This oven preheats within a matter of minutes (e.g., 350 degress is usually within 5 minutes). Easy to use for the clock/controls on the front, there are different sizes for the burners, and using the middle griddle is great when you're doing something like pancackes or making grilled sandwhiches. This does make the kitchen and living room warmer than usual, but that's expected when you run the oven. There's also a self-cleaning where you add water to the base of the oven, I haven't had to use this yet but it's nice to see the self-cleaning feature. I've had zero issues and had this installed through Best Buy, they did an awesome job and would recommend their services for installation/removal services for appliances.

I bought this in January 2019 (I didn't have a BestBuy account so it won't show as a verified purchase) to replace the one that came with the house. My Dad bought the house in 2004, and it was built in 1999. The old range was built it the late 90's. So when it started taking a loooong time to cook a pot pie (over an hour) and started setting off the CO2 alarm when it was on - IT HAD TO GO!
Wasn't necessarily looking for the same brand but I had specific needs: it had to be gas, roomy, with clock and timer. The the grill and Sabbath settings are a nice touch. This fit the bill. Also each of the burners has a different temperature level: The extra large (bottom left) is for broiling, the smallest (top left) for simmering, the large (top right) for whatever, and medium (bottom right) for sauces. At least, that what seems to make since given that each has a different burn temp.
Anywhooo, this was great replacement. I just wish I had got the Slate Version - I opted for Black. And they say DO NOT use metal utensils on the grill, only plastic or wood. Well, one night I was grilling fish, and I absentmindedly used a stainless steel spatula and it got scratched. So READ the instructions and it won't get scratched.

After extensive research and consideration, I decided to upgrade my kitchen with the GE 5.0 Cu. Ft. Freestanding Gas Range in Stainless Steel, and it has been an excellent decision. This gas range combines functionality, style, and reliability, making it a perfect addition to any modern kitchen. Here’s a detailed review based on my experience:
Performance and Cooking Quality
The performance of this GE gas range is exceptional. The 5.0 Cu. Ft. oven capacity provides ample space for cooking large meals, making it ideal for family gatherings and dinner parties. The oven heats evenly and maintains a consistent temperature, ensuring that dishes are cooked perfectly every time. The four burners on the cooktop offer different heat levels, catering to a variety of cooking needs from simmering sauces to boiling pasta.
Design and Build Quality
The stainless steel finish of this range not only looks sleek and modern but is also durable and easy to clean. The freestanding design allows for easy installation and fits seamlessly into my kitchen layout. The continuous grates on the cooktop provide a stable surface for pots and pans, making it easy to slide them around without lifting. The control knobs are well-placed and have a sturdy feel, giving you precise control over the heat levels.
Versatile Cooking Options
One of the standout features of this range is its versatility. The cooktop includes a powerful 15,000 BTU burner for high-heat cooking, a precise simmer burner for delicate dishes, and standard burners for everyday cooking tasks. The oven comes with multiple rack positions and a broil option, providing flexibility for different cooking methods. The built-in electronic ignition ensures a quick and reliable start every time.
User-Friendly Features
The GE gas range is designed with the user in mind. The oven’s large viewing window and interior light allow you to monitor your food without opening the door and losing heat. The digital display and timer are easy to use and very helpful for keeping track of cooking times. The self-cleaning feature is a major convenience, saving you time and effort in maintaining the oven’s cleanliness.
Safety and Efficiency
Safety is a key consideration with any gas appliance, and this GE range does not disappoint. The automatic shut-off feature ensures that the gas supply is cut off if the flame goes out, preventing gas leaks. The sealed burners prevent spills from reaching the internal components, making cleanup easier and the appliance safer to use.
Conclusion
The GE 5.0 Cu. Ft. Freestanding Gas Range in Stainless Steel is a top-notch appliance that brings together excellent performance, stylish design, and user-friendly features. Whether you are an avid cook or someone who prepares simple meals, this range offers everything you need to make cooking enjoyable and efficient. I highly recommend this gas range to anyone looking for a high-quality, stylish, and functional appliance. It has truly enhanced my cooking experience and added a touch of elegance to my kitchen.

This is my 3rd GE gas range in almost 30 years. Love everything about it. Have not tried the steam clean option for the oven yet. But the oven can fit a lot at one time. Seversl casserole dishes were put in and all came out evenly heated. Love the griddle top for french toast.

I'm very happy with this oven.
It's easy to use and clean up is a breeze.
My one "con" about this oven is the thickness of the walls of the oven. They don't seem as thick as "they were in the past". Kitchen gets rather toasty with the oven but then again I was cooking with 425F heat.
Oven pre heated quickly and when it's at temp it beeps to let you know.
Burners are good and light up immediately.
I bought the center grate so I can use the center burner; the grate does not come with the oven; only the grill does.
Delivery, set up were done professionally and the men were polite and courteous. I inspected the oven before they took it off the truck and it was fine.
I love the color.
I'm looking forward to cooking on this oven for many years to come !

I have zero complaints regarding this stove. Just remember to use water or dish liquid to clean w/ soft cloth to reserve the shine. (My opinion)
Great design. For the price, it’s great!
Had to pay 150 to the installers I was not informed of this. I had already paid 185.00 for the installation and parts. Ok, Im about safety so I paid. Gas switch valve// BB customer service did not have a clue what’s needed. Bottom line, prepare for installation incidentals.

I really would recommend this stove especially for the price. It works just as great as my Samsung Stove with Same qualities. I also enjoy the middle burner which i used to make french toast and also keep food warm while i continued to utilize the other four burners...

We've had the stove for a year now and it's been great. Easy to clean, bakes well, and looks nice in the kitchen. Has self clean, a timer and an oven light. The griddle is my favorite part you can cook just about anything on their from quesadillas to toasting your hamburger buns. Great purchase.

It works better than our last one we had. Our last one was a lot more expensive. But this one is basic and simple. I recommend this oven because it does the job that it’s supposed to and not high-tech.

Overall - happy, but might have chosen differently had we known some things.
First the bad, the griddle on the center burner is coated aluminum, rather than cast iron as it may appear. GE sells a replacement that is cast iron. Reviewers elsewhere report the aluminum one doesn't hold up well. Personally, I just hate cooking on a chemically coated surface of metal connected with Alzheimer's disease, knowing there's no way the coating isn't going to flake off in your food over time. So factor the additional cost for the cast iron replacement or the cost of an alternative oven into your calculations if you care. Secondly, my unit was missing some screws, including for a front bottom flange piece that just dangles. I can find some replacements at the hardware store, so not big deal; but not sure how a piece just dangling loose gets by quality control. I see in the detailed specs the broiler is a drawer type, but it did not jump out at me at all in my initial research. We might have chosen a different model, had we known. I'm not sure it will make a real difference once we get use to it. I know many older ovens were built that way, but I had never seen one. Is it made that way to be cheap? Anyway, spouse hates that feature. You have to bend way down to get food in and out. That drawer door doesn't open far enough to make it easy either. The leveling feet are nearly impossible to turn by hand. You will need a tool and most standard wrenches wont' fit due to odd shape and not having a proper hex nut in the middle. They are very cheap plastic. The ones on the back cannot really be spun all the way up, due to another protrusion from the oven body projecting downward. The oven will sit on those in back if you spin the feet up.
Now the good: I had to do the conversion from natural gas to propane. I was very glad all the parts were included and the process was not overly difficult. Provided instructions are pretty clear and videos are available on the web if you're unsure. Operating on propane, all burners operate very cleanly and are adjustable to very good levels. Even the very biggest burner can be turned down to a truly low setting that will not burn food too easily. Having a light in the oven is a small thing, but not all manufacturers include one. Nice to have.

Great range for the price. Haven't used the griddle much but plan on using it. Would recommend it for people on a tight budget for sure. Basic range but does what we need.
