I like the style and features of this stove. It was the top rated stove under $1000, and I think everything above it was at least $1000 more expensive. Compared to my older builder grade oven the burners are much more efficient and controllable at both the high and low end. Have to get used to the fact that it can get hotter quickly, and the low end changes so much between 1 and 2 that you always have to check the flame height. I like that it has the built in griddle but not sure it will get much use. I turned it on to dry it after washing and forgot, but like that the panel had a big red warning that a burner was on. Many extra features like convection, steam clean and WiFi. Not sure how much I will use WiFi but it allows delayed start and timed oven use, as well as remote on and off for oven. The gasket oven seems substantial. I haven’t spilled anything in the oven but love that the bottom can be easily removed for cleaning if I do. Lots of good to appreciate and I think I will like it as long as it proves reliable over time.
Here are the issues I have had. Installers turned on the oven before leaving and did not allow me to wipe it down first. Smelled horrible and felt ill. Had to open all the windows to air out. Wiped down after and still smells a bit but I’m hopeful that will diminish with time. The oven temp seemed off, so bought a nice/cheap instant read OVEN thermometer on Amazon. Confirmed the oven was about 25F too hot. You can adjust the temp 35F up or down so much better now. Now a little cool at low temps and hot at high temps, but pretty spot on with the temps I normally use. With the instant thermometer I realized that when the preheat signal sounds I’m nowhere near preheated. I just set a timer for 10 min and by then it’s getting close. The racks on this oven are not as wide as my previous by 1 1/2 inches. Still my oversized cookie sheets fit fine. I thought maybe this oven had extra insulation to keep the heat in (and maybe it does) but it doesn’t seem cooler than my previous stove.
I think there is plenty to like about this oven, and I may like it even more if I figure out some of the more obscure features like “pizza no preheat”, “air fry” and “fresh reheat”.

After 20 dutiful years, our oven finally kicked it and we bought a GE - we were always a Kenmore household but I am thoroughly impressed with the GE we bought. We did a lot of research went to a bunch of different stores we decided on this make and model for its price the fact that it had the air fryer and we chose Best Buy because we had the discounts with our tech membership. We weren't crazy about the griddle in the middle, we wanted grates in the middle. Those were more expensive and the grate attachment for this unit can be bought separately but now we have decided we LOVE it. it's perfect for keeping things warm and for warming bread (it doesn't toast it like a toaster would) and for heating tortillas. Overall great product - the clicking sounds when the oven is heating up is louder than I thought it would be (same as my old stove, I just figured modern technology would quiet that) but very efficient heats FAST stays at temperature evenly cooks - very happy highly recommend

The GE 5.3 Cu. Ft. Freestanding Gas Convection Range is outstanding! The steam cleaning and EasyWash oven tray make maintenance a breeze. The convection feature ensures even cooking, while the spacious oven accommodates large meals. The sleek stainless steel design adds a modern touch to any kitchen. Highly recommend!
Could be better...a little disappointed truthfully

Well...it is a GE...so maybe my expectations were too high...looks/feels/seems a little cheaply made. Knobs are very thin cheap plastic ( one of mine even has a paint blob on it). When I push onto the panel to pick oven settings the entire panel moves! Brand new stove failed to light pilots in 48 hours in my home...had to wait 2 weeks for an exchange to occur...next one is ok. I would not choose this one again. Maybe I just need to spend more time with it...not thrilled really!

Oven and tops for cook, heating, the way of each of the for top lids work so fine and has strong fire that come from each but u have to be very carefully handle them yo avoid burning you food, the light inside the oven is clear and the air frying with the fan that circulate the heat for the cake to be cooked evenly.

I decided to get the convection oven instead of the conventional oven. I'm glad I got this, not only does it have the air fryer option but has a one touch pizza button. All pizza come out even cooked, as well as anything else I've put in it. Timer and clock are great features and use them the most. The burners are good, and comes with a griddle that you can cook on, I haven't used this but looks like it would be good for hot sandwiches. The first gas stove I've owned and am glad I went with this one.

This is a great upgrade from my previous 25 year old stove! I like the griddle in the middle, the arrangement of burners of different sizes, the continuous cast-iron grates, how quickly it pre-heats, and all the different cook methods. Also, the touch pad is easy to use and see. Cooking is fun again!
We're so glad to hear you're enjoying your new range! It's great to know that it heats quickly, bakes evenly, and delivers excellent broiling results, all while adding a stylish look to your kitchen. Lauren@GEAppliances
