We haven't had any issues. The oven takes a few minutes to heat up but it is SO much bigger than our old oven it makes sense that is would take a little longer to get up to temp. The convection oven feature works great on baked items like pizzas.

Using the open burners with large pots created too much heat under the burners, literally frying the electric connections to each burner. This smoothtop range should not have that problem.

Great stove with some issues

But it has a couple problems nothing too major. One the clock it faces up so if your used to looking in your kitchen quick to see the time well those days are over. Second and this one is a bigger problem the glass top is a pain to keep clean and the black shows everything. It would benefit from having a grayer top something that wouldn’t show marks so easily.

I wanted something comparable, I do not need the extra bells and whistles that are on the stoves these days. I think I got it. It heats up nicely, cooks/bakes well and there is a timer. I like that you can use different size pans/pots on the front elements. Added bonus is the warmer element, but the simmer setting actually seems to be more of a warmer on this stove. Not a bad thing for me. My old oven would still "cook" instead of "simmer". The only con is when the oven is on, there is a lot of clicking sounds, but on my old oven, the fan was loud. It can be annoying, but I'm just not used to it yet. I guess it's an OK trade-off?!
