Warranty is: GE makes you buy another unit of same or greater cost. Then you submit the purchase receipt to GE for reimbursement (6-8 weeks). You pay to dispose of broken unit. Buy a Danby instead. They last longer and have a better warranty and replacement process.

Solid workhorse - set it and forget it

This one replaced a smaller dehumidifier that just stopped running after a few hours and needed to be power-cycled to start up again. This GE 50-pint model has been running non-stop, keeping a old damp basement dry, for 4 months at this point.
