Amazing. Truly helps with the moisture and is easy to empty and to move around. I am so glad I purchased it.

I bought this dehumidifier two months ago for the basement of my workshop. It's approximately 900 square feet with an eight foot ceiling and a stone floor. It does a remarkable job lowering the humidity from 90% to 60%. I especially like to two and four hour run times so I can set it and leave the shop without worrying about my five gallon collection bucket from overflowing.

Just bought this a few weeks ago. It does a great job at removing humidity from my basement. It is quiet. I like the fan that exhausts upward from the top of the unit. I connected it to a hose for the water discharge using a plastic extender from my prior unit (not GE). Without the extender I think it would be a little more difficult to connect the hose to the unit. Hopefully this unit lasts longer than my two prior Fridgidaire units did (3 to 5 years).

Like magic, this device creates water out of thin air. I have two of these for two different damp basements. I buy dehumidifers every few years, and this model works really well. Mine were brand new. This is threaded for optional garden hose drain, nice as other brands usually need a hose clamp. Set it and forget it - power outage/power restore it remembers the settings and continues.

My finished basement gets quite damp air in the summer and makes it quite cold during the summer. This does a great job of removing the water from the air and making the basement comfortable in the summer. I have to empty the tray once per day during the summer. In the winter, it does not need to be run.

This GE humidifier gets the job done. Good size, and not loud.

Replacing a 17 year old unit that all of a sudden let go without any warning. We definitely don’t expect this to last anywhere nearly as long and that’s a shame but according to all the reviews I saw it’s less than 5 and mostly around 3. I did not get the extended warranty on this item although I really considered it deeply and at length for awhile. This unit runs much cooler than one being replaced. Sound is similar but sound not a worry as it’s in the basement. Controls are easy to use and understand. I do recommend briefly looking at the instructions before set up for your control options. I do wish the companies either have models with or easy to get kits that can make these a pump out system when collection is at or near full. There is a drain option if you can do a straight unpowered drain but for us it would need to be lifted from the basement as we don’t have a sump to drain to. I do like the unit. The only other control option that would be nice is a timer that could be set and recur daily at set time not just a one 24 hour timer ... that doesn’t seem to make any sense. A lot of people complain that the humidity monitor is a few percentage points is off. Also I don’t see the reason it’s a problem just set it lower to the point you are happy with the air quality. No matter what down is more dry up is less dry ... being exact humidity level isn’t a deal breaker nor is it frustrating , just use it as a dry , more dry, less dry setting. Last word is that after set up it took a couple days for it to get to the point of holding the humidity and the manual draining was less and less until big storms move in. Very happy purchase .. make sure to purchase largest reservoir as possible to keep from having to pull and pour out as often.

This humidifaier is perfect and it provides fresh air! My old humidifier had terrible air so I know it makes a TOTAL DIFFERENCE in my life and it can in yours too! Dumping the water out is really easy but I'll recommend having it close to your bathroom because it can be heavy for people with weak arms. Go get you one!!

great product, works well. Quite for the most part, pulls alot of moisture out of the air.

This unit is quieter than the GE it replaced. It as the capacity to remove 50 pints but has a very small bucket. We have this unit hooked to a hose leading to a sump and pump. However if someone could not link to a drain directly they would be dumping water pretty often or the sump would fill and the machine will stop.

This took about 3 minutes to set up. The air in my basement, though never really that damp, is bone dry right now. It is almost TOO efficient. I have to empty the reservoir at least once a day for now, and sometimes wish that tank was larger. I like the automatic variation in the humidity levels - I have not set the unit to a specific moisture percentage.

Works efficiently and is much quieter than the previous two dehumidifiers we've owned.

Of the five dehumidifiers that I have relied on over the past thirty years this one is the best performing one. I realize that ultimately, most popular dehumidifiers are all made by the same company in China, but this one seems to be a cut above so far. I would give it five stars but I have only had it a few weeks.

Its not very loud. Does a good job getting moisture out of the air. Nothing to complain about.

Does a great job of drying my place which is a ground level apartment with little sunlight so its prone to being damp usually around 80% humidity and this will keep at around 65% on low fan. i would use the high fan but it gets a little loud.
