Easy set-up. Efficient- Did not have to have unit on for a lengthy period of time.

Been using this in a 600 SqFt basement that is very damp. Connected a 5/8 garden hose to the unit so it can self drain into my sump pump. It got my basement down from 80% humidity to 45% within a few hours and keeps the basement at that level quite well. Hope it holds up for a few years.

Does a good job removing humidity. Large capacity and noise is not too loud.

I really could have used a smaller unit, but did not research capacity and space needs. However, my previous dehumidifier died and i was without one for several weeks in this hot, humid weather. My house was starting to smell funny. In one day this new unit reduced the humidity from 75% to 65%, and the second day it was down to 55%, and the smell was gone! I am very pleased with this unit.

This dehumidifier has been running unattended since I hooked it up 14 months ago and does a fine job of keeping my basement dry. I am still not too sure about when the humidity level value shown in the display is the measured humidity in the room vs. the setting I entered, but I decided to just let it do its thing and it's been working well.

We are extremely happy with this GE dehumidifier. We have it in our basement to keep it dry and it does great! We have had it since May 2020 and have had no issues. Ours drains right in to our sump pump hole, no need to empty. It will shut off when the filter needs to be rinsed off. We did buy an extended warranty, just in case and was relatively inexpensive. No complaints here!

Suddenly noticed my basement stunk and the smell had made its way upstairs. If I could smell it then guests definitely have been smelling it. I had no idea how bad the moisture was in my basement. This dehumidifier had the smell gone within 20 minutes of running it and so far so good.

My basement is less than water tight and the humidity regularly hits 60-70 percent in the summer, this works great to keep it at 40-50 percent, keeps the mold away.

Quiet and makes a noticeable difference in the comfort of my basement. I ran it for a week or so using the bucket and it was fiiling twice a day. I wanted to establish that it was working. I hooked up a hose and it now empties directly into the drain. Much quieter than the one I replaced.

Powerful and sturdy for around 1000 sq feet basement.

Replaced another GE, one year old. The new one came right on, but was very noisy. About to return it, then realized it was the top panel vibrating, not a compressor problem. Added a giant plastic spring clip between the hand hold and the top, excess noise gone! Do not buy a GE dehumidifier without an extended warranty. I doubt it will last more than one or two seasons, reviews everywhere talk about one or two years, my first 70 pint lasted one year. Maybe in years to come they will realize how to make them last longer. Till then, Best Buy extended warranties are you friend for this item!

Don't love the price but great product. Not very noisy. Love that it turns off when full, just wish it was linked to my phone so I could get notified since we keep ours in our basement. If you empty before it is full you have to turn it off/pause it otherwise it will keep working and essentially just drain on the floor. Worth getting.

Love how powerful it is it really does its job so glad I purchased this dehumidifier it does exactly what I needed for it to do very easy to operate very easy to hook up a old hose so it goes down the dream and I don't have to constantly change the bucket it's perfect love love it

The unit does the job as it claims. On the contrary, it is a little loud in the beginning however once it normalizes the humidity inside, it tends to operate quietly. I removed a min. of 3 buckets the first day I switched this beast on. I would recommend that buy I but knowing how often the dehumidifiers fail, do buy the extended warranty!

This thing is awesome! I have it in my finished basement (approx 1200 sqft) and it TOOK CARE OF BUSINESS QUICKLY! It took the musky smell away within the first hour. I couldn't believe how quickly it pulled the water out and into the bucket. I dont have it connected to a hose (probably won't) and it's super easy to lift out with the handle and dump. No spills yet! Just buy it!
