I could not imagine living without this! I bought this when I moved into my new house bc the basement smelled musty. After about a week of continuous use the smell was tenfold better and felt better to be in the basement. I used to empty it once a day and now I only have to empty it every few days. I do soak the collection bin with vinegar every once in a while bc it gets slimy. Def recommend!!! I did a ton of research before purchasing.

Dehumidifier works well, and with the hose setting you never have to empty the bin. Some reviews on other sites state that the unit will die up to and around one year, but a simple way around that is to get the extended warranty through Best Buy. Cheers!

I'm not the best specimen for reviews because all appliances are disposable and only built to last a certain length of time, but I was due for a new humidifier and hopefully going for the well known name wasn't a bad gamble. Seems to work well now and easy to use, but time will tell.

Not the quietest out there, but boy does it remove the moisture from our basement. We liked it so much, we bought a second one. Had tried others like the highly rated LG, but the tank was smaller and it did not perform nearly as efficiently.

Nice and quiet, energy efficient, probably half as loud as my old dehumidifier was. Displays current humidity, adjustable based on your preferences. Has a drain hose connection. I love it, wish I upgraded to this years ago. I use it in my basement- concrete floor, unfinished.

I'm in an old house with a damp basement. This is replacing a 8 yr old GE. I have it hooked up to a hose to a nearby drain and it does a nice job keeping the dry. I wish the cord was a little longer, you get maybe 6-7' of cord. My outlets are 4' off the ground, so it doesn't give me much to work with.

Compared to our other dehumidifier this one works great. It pulls a lot of the humidity from the basement. However we bought a hose to connect to it and it’s leaking. I wish it came with a hose so I wouldn’t have to search for a good one.

Does what it needs to do, I have a evaporated a/c that creates a lot of humidity up to 80%. This unit can pull humidity down to 50% in about a hour. The unit does put off a lot of heat in the summer time.

Great product. Set it and forget it. On a humid day it will run 12 - 14 hours before filling up and shutting off. Get almost 2 gallons a day; great for the flower gardens.

This thing works so good it is draining my 125 gallon aquarium, which is 2 rooms and 2 doors away. It also helps greatly after steam cleaning carpeting to dry it out much quicker. I don’t know how I lived without it!

Compared to units I’ve had in the past this one wasted no time pulling humidity out of my basement. The only thing I regret is I couldn’t get it in a 70 pint. The 50 pint requires more trip to basement to empty

Works very well! Can feel the difference!! Was skeptical at first but using a meter and can also feel it is much more comfortable. Too bad I don't have AC.

It works so much better than our old one. Don’t tell anyone, as the old one is residing in our garage at the present time and I don’t want to hurt its feelings. This one is easy to use and easy to empty. Life is good.

When not full this lowers humidity quickly.. Living in the upper midwest , humidity can be an issue. This unit is in our basement, and we dont have a great drain to use at the moment, so have been emptying the bin. We need to empty at least every 8 hours to keep the humidity down below 55 or so...

Replaced our 70 pint humidifier the stopped working with the GE 50 pint humidifier. It works well, the only complaint is the water bucket only holds 35 pints, not 50, so i have to empty the bucket more frequently. But is not as noisy than our previous model.

My garage isn't insulated and full of tools, motorcycles and wood, all of which shouldn't be exposed to humidity. This machine is a beast, and reduced the garage from 70% humidity down to 35% in just a few hours. It's noticeably drier in there, and worth the cost to protect my equipment.

This dehumidifier works great. Easy to setup and good setting options. Set it and forget it. I hooked up the hose to bypass the bucket for continuous operation at 50% RH.

The dehumidifier is very quiet. Initially I was skeptical to buy this dehumidifier from Best Buy due to other reviewers mentioning about receiving old product. I received new product. Also the electricity consumption is very low.

It's a great to humidifier but there's no attachment for draining water out of it with a hose. I had to drill a hole through the side of the catch basin and add a piece of tubing so I wasn't constantly having to empty it. Besides this it seems to work perfectly
