This humidifier exceeded our expectations. We put it in a large open concept area to cover our kitchen, family room, living room and dinning room. Within hours we could feel the difference in humidity and after 24 hours our indoor humidity went from 68% to 43%. It also did a great job lowering the humidity in all the attached rooms (two bedrooms and office) which I was not expecting. I like how it gives a warning beep to empty the tank. The wheels are a nice added feature to make moving it super easy. Very easy to used. Unbox it and turn it on. It is louder than I thought it would be but you get used to it.

Needed to replace an older unit and found this on Best Buy website. Have had good performance from other GE products (washer and dryer), which prompted this purchase. Unit is quiet and very efficient! So much so, that I need to empty on regular basis. Perhaps should have bought bigger size (70 or more pints). Easy to program and operate. I am pleased with this purchase.

Easy set up. Hooked a hose up so no emptying bucket. Using in a well insulated metal building, 30x55 Will bring humidity level down to 30% if door remains closed. Humidity started at 65% and 83 degrees in building with outside 93deg. and full sun. took a day and half to get humidity down to 30% Turn on a fan to circulate air and can work in more comfortable temp. So far very happy with unit.

We have had this dehumidifier hooked up in our large basement for about a week and it has transformed the area! We took on water throughout this rainy July and our basement was musty and damp and within a couple of days, this single unit had the humidity down near 50% and it's like a whole new room! Not loud at all and super easy to set up and use. We are VERY happy with it.

I originally purchased this for my basement but I found myself using it upstairs as well. My basement feels and smells better. The carpet is no longer damp on very hot days. My central air unit does not have to work as hard anymore. The upstairs is just as cool as the basement now. I like that there are 3 fan speeds and in my opinion it's not noisy at all

Wow, this dehumidifier really takes the moisture out of our basement. It is powerful and quiet. Since I prefer to empty the water bucket rather than attach the hose part, I actually see how much water is removed daily, and it it impressive!!

This dehumidifier works very well, however, the initial model was defective. Also, the unit is loud so that is something to consider when placing it in a living area. I placed a memory foam mat underneath to reduce the sound and this worked very well. The unit is compact and very easy to operate.

Works well. Humidity in basement way down. Quiet for size. Placed in room away from family room so sound diminished more and still kept humidity down in FR.

I have owned this dehumidifier just short of a month, so I hope it is really durable. I plugged it up, turned it on and it has performed well every day since. I purchased it as a replacement for a whirlpool I had for just over 2 years. I have 2 dehumidifiers in my basement that operate at 50% humidity setting. I have lived in my house for 34 years and have literally wore out several dehumidifiers. The older ones lasted longer than the newer ones as most appliances seem to now. I am very pleased with this one so far. I read numerous reviews on this model and several others. I decided on this one and recommend it based on it's performance up to this date. The owners manual recommends you program it for continuous run for the first 24 hrs. I did and reset it for 50% humidity after.

Had the dehumidifer for ~6 weeks & am very satisfied with its operation during the record heat & humid weather this summer. It is very efficient and quiet [much better than our other one by SoleusAir]. Blower is fixed vertically & circulates the hot/humid air around efficiently so that the moisture can be removed. Only one minor issue, wish it had a hose connection so I can run it into a drain & not have to dump the bucket every other day. I hope it will last 15 years [I had one by Kenmore that lasted 15+ years but they're not made as well anymore these days]. If it does, the Value rating will be upgraded to 5 Stars.

We have used the dehumidifier now for 3 weeks. It is quiet, easy to empty without spillage and pulls a lot of moisture out of the air based on how quickly the bucket fills. It is used in our summer cabin basement.

I bought this to support extra humidity extraction in my basement. I have an older version of this model and bought another because my old one was no longer pumping water using the hose. I was having to empty the canister several times a day. I hooked up this new one to drain right to my sump pump. It is working amazingly! My other dehumidifier rarely pulls any moisture from the air. My basement air is dry and I no longer get the damp smell coming from my basement. I highly recommend this GE 50 Pint Portable Dehumidifier. It's easy to set up, use and does an excellent job.

Easy to set up, quiet, works well. Mine is set up in the basement using a hose to empty directly into a floor drain.

I got this dehumidifier a month ago. It runs very quietly and seems to dry the basement well though this time of the year the humidity is low. I like all the different settings for fan and humidity

We've had the unit for only a month, but so far, so good. We live on an island, so it's humid inside and out, and this unit makes our home more comfortable. It's dirt simple to use; it shuts off automatically when the bin fills or when it reaches your desired humidity level. It's quiet on low, but not so quiet on higher speeds, which might make it disruptive in a TV room. We keep it on low and the bin fills in about 12 hours if the humidity level starts at +70%. The bin is easy to remove and transport to the nearest sink. It seems like a solid product and competitively priced.

Great product, works well, easy set-up, take the water out of the air very well. Have had it running non-stop since I bought it and it hasn't had any issues for a month now.

I have been using this product continuously for about three weeks. It was easy to set up and use. At low fan speed it is not noisy at all. So far no issues. It is set up in the basement. Manually emptying the bucket is inconvenient. Although it is set for connecting a hose to avoid manual emptying the bucket, no hose was included with the product. Hope they act on this feedback and consider inclusion of a hose.

I purchased this unit about 3 weeks ago to replace another unit I had for 6 years. The unit seems to work well. I have no complaints. The dehumidifier has to be emptied 2 times a day so it is pulling the water out of the air in our basement. The price was good and since dehumidifiers can act up I purchased the extended warranty from Best Buy that covers the unit for 4 total years. So far, a good purchase!
