The power cord is way too short to move it around the basement and that is something we need. It is noisy if you move it past low. The humidity level would not stay where desired. Made out of cheap plastic, as all things are these days.

Posted .Thanks so much for choosing GEA to keep you dry. We're sorry to hear it is missing some features you prefer but appreciate the feedback. The power cord is 6' long to locate the unit as close to the middle of the room as possible. When a humidity level is set, the unit will turn on until that point is reached and turn back on when the room raises again. For continuous dehumidifying, we suggest Non Stop mode so the unit will continue to run. We hope this helps. Let us know if you have any more questions. - John@GEA
