This is an excellent dehumidifier. Once it gets about four or five points, lower humidity than the setpoint, it will cut the fan and everything off and then turn it back on to maintain your setpoint. As all dehumidifiers, do this does throw some heat into the room, which is unfortunate, but they all do it. Has a very large tank and after the first couple of days of getting my humidity under control in my basement, I only have to empty it once a day, but could probably go once every other day if I want it to just leave it. It does have an automatic shut off when the time gets too full also, or you can hook a hose directly to it to have a continuous drain if you have a drain somewhere nearby.

Bought this at the same time as a 50qt Toshiba dehumid a month ago. Have both running (very humid basement) and prefer this unit--runs a bit more quietly and doesn't run endlessly with just the fan running (not dehumidifying). I have a drainage hose attached and do note that somehow this unit pulls a bunch of water out of the air and then dumps it in relatively large amounts as opposed to constant drips. Not an issue but interesting.

The unit works really well. It's not too loud. I have been running it on low during the day it has made a huge difference in out house. I have placed it upstairs on a landing and it handles both levels of the house.

Runs pretty quietly and makes a noticeable difference to our basement's humidity. Our basement has been pretty humid this CoVID Summer, and our previous dehumidifier finally stopped working by frequently freezing up. Hopefully this unit will outlast the pandemic and continue into the new normal.

I could not believe how much moisture and water this dehumidifier was pulling out of the flooded basement bedroom. I thought that the floor dried out because it felt dry to the touch but this machine kept filling up for at least 14 days. It is pretty quite, easy to move around and good capacity.

This dehumidifier has done a great job of dehumidifying our basement. It is very easy to use with clear buttons and settings. We end up emptying the bucket twice a day on the high settings (which we need). The one thing is that the high setting fan can be loud, so if you use your space (we don't) this could be a problem. The other settings are quieter.

I debated between 35 and 50 - am glad I picked the 50 pint one. During humid days shortly after purchase it was collecting more than a full bucket of water every day. Lacking an AC, it made a significant difference in those few weeks with high humidity. These days I have it run at low setting 24/7, and dump water out every few days with 50% set.

I got this GE dehumidifier to replace the old GE machine that came with my house when I bought it last year. The old machine gave up the ghost in June. I waited to get the replacement until September. Wish I’d gotten it sooner! Works like a charm! The finished basement where the machine is located had become unbearably humid and musty-smelling. Within an hour of plugging in this new GE dehumidifier, the room was noticeably dryer and the smell nearly gone! My one criticism is that there doesn’t seem to be an audible “Bucket Full” alarm as there was on the old machine. If there *is* an alarm, it’s so quiet I can’t hear it; the old one could be clearly heard upstairs on the main floor. That says, I would highly recommend this machine. Works very well and look good, too.

This quiet, powerful machine works almost too good!! I empty it 2 times a day. I have a very old damp house with a wet basement so this Dehumidifier is a must!!! I had a Kenmore 75 Pint that took a tumble down the steps and lost it, could not find another. I have a BestBuy account and so grateful for that because I could not afford the full price all at one time. This unit is a 50 pint so I do have to empty it out more but I do not mind because I do not want it running all the time anyway. This machine is very quiet compared to the Kenmore and when plugged up started filling up quickly!!! It puts out much less heat also, so was nice to run even during the summer heat. The looks are sleek and I love the bright instrument lights on it!! It works as a nightlight in my dark hallway!!! You can tell the difference in the air quality when this is running. It is so much easier to breathe also!! Thank you for this wonderful product!!

It is pretty quiet, very efficient and is easy to empty.

Easy set up and use, keeps my basement dry. Originally was emptying the bucket, but the instructions showed me how to connect a hose to it to allow it to drain externally. Put it on a milk crate so it’s up higher and let it drain into the water heater pump.

A/C went out right before heat wave. This dehumidifier made house almost tolerable by removing moisture. Shut house and kicked it on high. Went from 80% to 60% in a couple days. Worried about new fridge in hot house but this unit brought it thru. Still some hot days ahead. Will monitor performance.

This thing is amazing the humidity in my house was in the upper 60. Now it stays 40-49. Makes a tremendous difference in how u feel just breathing and also helps with sleeping. We empty it twice daily and it’s very simple to do.

The dehumidifier took the moisture out of the basement in just one day. What i like is how quite the device is as well, you can hardly hear it running. The warning lights on filter and when the bin is full makes it very convenient as well.

This dehumidifier has made such a difference in our basement! I had no idea how much humidity we were experiencing until we bought this! It’s easy to use, easy to empty, and has the option of a direct connection using a hose. It’s a little louder than I expected, but the fan has two speeds so you can turn it down.

In the months I’ve had this it has pulled at least 30 gallons out of the air in an rv that has the fans left open and is now helping to season wood in the shop. In the last month it’s got maybe a couple goes off break time here and there when full but no errors or problems is any kind. Highly recommended

I should of purchase this sooner. I looked at many Dehumidifiers and the reviews on this is correct. Super quiet, efficient. In opinion best feature is the auto timer. Instead of running all the time I put it on 2 hours and go about my day. I run this in the basement with a hose in the drain. Great Purchase.

I ordered this dehumidifier to replace a very old model that stopped working. I have been running it in my basement for 3 weeks and it has performed very well. It is quiet, easy to use, and I am very pleased with the results. I hadn't planned on spending quite as much on a dehumidifier but I am happy with the performance.
