Runs but no longer removes water after two years, same as the last one. Very typical for a dehumidifier. Got the 4 year protection plan to cut the cost of replacement but still out about $100 with cost of the plan and the increased cost of the same model dehumidifier.

The dehumidifier worked fine the first 2 days, filling the tub every 24 hrs. Day 3, the machine got noisier and the tub took 36 hrs to fill (this may be there's less moisture), day 4 noisier and a clanking sound, tub not a single drop, this continues into day 5, then just stopped working. I lowered the moisture % from 50 to 40, this got it running, when I checked that night it has stopped. I don't know if it stopped after 15 min or 2 hrs. Returned it to Best Buy.

This thing stunk so bad I had to send it back. Also it seemed used.

We’ve had quite a few dehumidifiers now, so we noticed something wasn’t right pretty quickly. After 24 hours this didn’t collect any water. You could also see that someone tried to clean the bucket. Trying to deal with Customer Service was also horrible. We had to wait for our store to open and we returned it.

TWO YEARS OLD AND THE UNIT STOPPED WORKING. LOOKS LIKE IT'S JUST MORE COST EFFECTIVE TO BUY A NEW ONE, NOT RECOMMENDING THIS DEHUMIDAFIER. 25 MONTHS AND DONE! I PREVIOUSLY HAD A FRIGIDARE UNIT THAT LASTED LIKE 10 YEARS

I don’t have a lot of experience with dehumidifiers but this one made my room hot which I read that it’s normal for a little warm air to come out when it’s getting rid of humidity but it shouldn’t make your room unbearably hot. And now I don’t think the machine is working. It just reads 35 and stays that way when normally it was constantly running. And no water is in the trap. I wouldn’t even know what to tell the manufacturer. I’m at a loss and already threw away the box.

Works well but rarely shuts off even if I raise humidity setting. It runs a little louder than my other dehumidifier.

When it was new it worked well. Died after about 1 year, but so did all the other ones I bought, I think they are all garbage (3 other different brands). BUY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY! Best Buys' warranty is a 5 star.

The dehumidifiers only last two years. If you’re lucky you need to come up with a different product that last longer even if you buy the extended warranty is still have to bring it back and forth and go through all the problems of getting a new one.

Had this dehumidifier set up in my 1100 square foot basement. Worked great for about a year and a half but then all of the sudden quit working. I could unplug it an led plug it back in and it would run for about 3 minutes then it shuts off and didn’t run again. It does detect that my basement is now at 50+ percent humidity. After reading about the issue on Reddit, it seems like this model is common to break around the 1.5 to 2 year time frame.

Did not get to use yet so I hope when I take it out of the box that it is not used

I bought 2 and both smelled so bad. A chemical smell, my whole house smelled so bad I had to open windows. I buy dehumidifiers every couple of years and have never had this issue before. They were returned. I don't blame Best Buy by any means, they were great about returning and refunding our money.

Good but not great. Did not get all the water out that I needed as fast as other dehumidifiers.

Good for removing moisture from the air, but makes the electric bill go up! Noisy!

Quit working one week after warranty expired (1 Year) and was only used during the summer months. Previous GE model worked for 15 years. Going to order same model again and hope for the best.

I would give this a zero if I could. Quit working in 9 months which included winter when it wasn't needed. It does fall under warranty but the warranty requires you to buy a new one and get reimbursed. This seems to be a recurring problem with dehumidifiers. I follow all the instructions on location, air flow, etc. The fan runs but does not dehumidify.

Purchased 8 months ago. Unit stoped working. Warranty will only cove original purchase price, no tax and i need to dispose of the bad unit.

Very loud had to empty to many times to count and barely worked as described

This worked for about 8-9 months and has since stopped working. I read that the lifespan on these was about a year or so and mine didn’t make it that long. Fortunately, I have geek squad and will get another or upgrade.

Insufficient capacity to reduce humidity for a large basement. Mis-advertised as 50 pint capacity. Under the new standard which was established in 2019, this is only 35 pint capacity, as shown accurately on its box. I replaced it with a 50 pint capacity dehumidifier (old 70 pint under former standard).
