Hey there, and thanks for letting us know about this situation. We truly hate to hear a used appliance was sold to you as new – we know that must have been disconcerting. While GE may resell an appliance clearly marked as pre-owned, it is not our policy to sell anything previously owned as new. We recommend contacting Best Buy’s Customer Service directly to address this issue. The one-year warranty is designed to grant the most coverage during the times when a unit is most likely to experience issues. Typically, when a unit fails because of a manufacturing defect, this happens well within the first year of operation. Hi there, we're very sorry to see your dehumidifier only lasted one season. We can imagine your disappointment and we're happy to help. We suggest you check with local servicers to see if they service dehumidifiers. We're sorry to say that there aren't any repair parts for dehumidifiers, and GE Appliances Factory Service does not service them. Hey there, and thanks for reporting this issue to us. We truly hate to hear you’ve had an issue with your dehumidifier, and moisture isn’t being removed from the air. We know how inconvenient that must be, especially when you haven’t had the unit that long. This isn’t the quality experience we want you to have as an owner, and we’d like to help. You may want to check that the air flow around the dehumidifier isn’t restricted by curtains, furniture, etc., as well as the filter to ensure it’s clean; both those factors are important for dehumidifying. Additional troubleshooting tips for this issue are available on page 9 of the manual, which can be viewed on our GE website by looking up the model number. Details on the limited warranty from GE are also available on page 11, if you need to review that at all. We hope this information helps and the issue with your dehumidifier is resolved soon.
