Great Product
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This dehumidifier is much quieter than my old one and takes a LOT of humidity out of the air. The drawer that holds the water is easy to remove for emptying and to replace.

Good value
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Able to control the humidity in our 860 sq ft basement reasonably well. We have it hooked up to our laundry tub with a hose, so we don't have to worry about regularly emptying or cleaning the tank. Volume is as expected. Easy to set the desired humidity and fan speed

Well made Dehumidifier
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the GE dehumidifier to replace another new dehumidifier which was too loud. This GE dehumidifier is relatively quiet, the sound level is 50dbl. The design is nice, the unit doesn't generate much heat and it dehumidifies fast. The tank is very solid, its easy to carry and dump the water unlike other dehumidifiers in the market which is made of cheap plastic tank. It has been a few days since I am using this one so far its working very well. The one thing missing is, it doesn't have a built-in pump, I wish GE makes 50-Pint model with built-in pump.

GE - 50-Pint Portable Dehumidifier
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The GE Dehumidifier works well. The unit is efficient plus it is fairly quiet. The humidistat works well and shuts down and starts up at the proper times. The only issue is with the water bucket. It is not flat on the bottom so you cannot put the full bucket down on the floor, it will probably tip over.

Works so far as intended.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This works, which is more than I expected. Fills up once a day, and has kept my humidity down from 65-70% to 50-54%. I got geek squad 4 year protection because I do not know if this will last more than a year. We will see and I hope the protection is worth it.

Works Well in Basement
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had the dehumidifier for a year and it has performed well. Keeps humidity under control in my unfinished basement. The filter is easy to access and clean. My only complaint is checking the water level, it's hard to see the red float in lower lighting conditions.

Very good
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pretty good dehumidifier. Works really well and the size is good to dehumidify a 15 x 15 room or so within a few hours. The construction of the insert is a little flimsy but it is holding up well. It can get noisy but all of these things are noisy. The digital setting works perfectly.

Unit runs like a champ and has worked wonders
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This dehumidifier is a solid unit. It was able to bring my humidity levels down throughout my house. With central fan system to circulate the air, it brought lower level down to 40% humidity from 65% and upper level down to 45%. The bucket gets filled about 2 times a day running on low and keeps 2000sqft reasonably controlled. Only annoying feature is that it has an alarm that goes off when the bucket fills up, it goes off for about 5 seconds and I don't see a way for this to be turned off. Would give it 4.5/5

Dehumidifier
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was in a rush when I bought this so you may not have a record in my account. I just love this Dehumidifier and I've had it for 7 years and it still works like a charm. Had a really bad flood in the basement where it used and couldn't get it to work. Finally, I broke down and ordered another one only to learn that the older one was still working. I don't know why all of a sudden it worked but I was happy. I returned the other one and saved nearly $400. I like the fact that I can get the filters fairly easily through Amazon. I recommend this product.

Great dehumidifier
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Product was packaged well and was ready to go once unpacked. Has worked well in bringing a 1,200sf basement from 50% humidity to 35. Keeps it constant. Quiet as well. Hose outlet works perfectly so no need to empty bucket.

Great Dehumidifier
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for our newly refinished basement as we were noticing some moisture buildup on the bathroom floor. It’s quiet I don’t even notice it running. Lights up when it needs to be emptied. Glad I purchased it, super easy to use.

Dehumidifier
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was purchased to replace an older unit that wore out. Easy to use, seems more energy efficient. I'm happy that it shuts off when the room reaches the set humidity, and does not run when not needed.

Powerful unit
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a car. It can pull gallons of water in an hour. I bought this during the Texas freeze as I had major water damage from burst pipes. This kept the environment dry and the unit is relatively quiet.

GE dehumidifier
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like the GE 50 pint portable dehumidifier. It is stylish, easy to empty (the bucket is well balanced when full of water) and performs well. I have had other brand dehumidifiers but I feel like this GE performs the best.

Working well in a damp 1300 sq ft basement
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have always had a problem with a damp basement (about 1300 square feet) and tried two other 50-Pint dehumidifiers from another manufacturer with very poor results. This dehumidifier has done a great job of drying things out. It took a couple weeks for it to remove all of the moisture that was stored in the furniture and walls but it has now reached a steady state where we are using about 6 kW hours per day to maintain 50% humidity.

Worth it for a small to medium basement
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good. 11 days in and it pull moisture from my basement like a champ. I have to empty the water container once every day, but I believe it will be more often during warmer weather. Easy to use and shuts on and off once the set humidity level has been achieved.

One of the best/Highly Recommend
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have it for over a month and it is quite a dehumidifier. It shuts off when the set point is reached. The three other brands I had did not do that. This is my 4th dehumidifier in 18 years. I have had Danby, Sears Kenmore, and a Seabreeze. I was seriously looking at an Aprilaire, but I did not have $1200 at the time. The other nice thing is that I set it 45% relative humidity and my stand alone hygrometer ranges from 45 as the low and 48% as the high. So it is right in there.
