Sucks water in the air rapidly. Keeps humidity in house at a comfortable level.

As compared to a much older dehumidifier it is replacing, it seems to be much more efficient at least in regards to the time it runs to extract a specific amount of water. The unit runs reasonably loud (with a loud hum) but is still much quieter than the nearby furnace / AC blower. My only reason for deducting a star, is the hose adapter doesn't seem very robust and seems likely to fail over time. There also isn't any real strain relief for the hose besides entering a small cutout, such that it seems some force could be applied to the plastic hose bib leading to a failure. At this point it has been used in a 700 sqft basement for several straight weeks, and has been doing its job without any issues.

Very happy with the simplicity of the unit. Appears to be functioning well. The only negative is the noise level that the unit emits even on its lowest setting.

So far so good. It is quiet, easy to program, and has a hose for continuous emptying of the water collected.

This thing works wonderfully. A little overpriced, and blows out cold air so in the winter its counteractive to my heaters, but the windows dont sweat when its running, kinda loud.

I bought this for my basement and it works incredibly well. My basement had such a damp feeling and now it’s dry and I can feel comfortable going down there to work out. Great price, great dehumidifier. I am very happy

The dehumidifier does a great job! I did not think there was any moisture in our lower level but every 3 days I have to empty the tank. Looks good and makes little noise.

used this during a renovation of a motorhome that had wet, saturated carpets. - plugged it in and left to let it do it's thing - it automatically shuts off when it's full!! ... i ran an air purifier at the same time (fighting a mold problem, this helped air circulation, acting as a fan & made the water collected in the dehum less black.) - like the directions say, it works best 18 inches away from walls (do whatever you gotta do so the air-intake can pull air properly. - i secured it on top of bathroom toilet for a bit.. i also changed the dehum's location a few times). - also used after steam cleaning remaining carpeted areas. - it might be hard to spend a chunk of money on an item like this but it saved an old wrecked motorhome that has now increased in value just by being dry!! - & living in wet and mold IS REALLY REALLY BAD FOR YOU!!!! IT WILL SAVE YOU THOUSANDS ON DOCTORS BILLS TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!!! just dry out your living space, remove carpets and paint killz on the moldy remains. it's really not as hard as it might sound!!! START WITH A SOLID DEHUM!!!!

Extremely simple to set up and use. Straight forward controls. Works very well. The noise level was perfect for us when sleeping

This is a great product, it runs quiet and takes almost all the moisture from the air. Product does a great job preventing Mold and Mildew. So glad I made this purchase.

Had dehumidifier about a month, works good so far, quickly takes water out of the air. Price was good, happy with it so far. I hope it lasts ten years?

so far, so good. Ive had a problem with dehumidifiers in the past- working well for a season, maybe two, then quitting. In this case, the unit works quietly and well so far; and my tenant is happy. I am positive I made the right decision purchasing a dehumidifier through Best Buy, and highly recommend the longest geek squad protection- this way I am confidant that I will have a working dehumidifier for the next 4 years, regardless of any problems that may present in the coming seasons.

Growing up we always had a basement. It was my job to empty the dehumidifier bucket. Everyone we had seemed to run all the time. But, they never seemed to illuminate the damp feeling nor smells. This dehumidifier is awesome. It has worked perfectly. No more damp feeling. No more odors. I highly recommend this dehumidifier. It gets the job done!

Purchased this for my Dampey basement. I have been using about a month and can feeel the difference. I empty it about every 20 hours and keeps area at 50 humidity. Love it so far.

Set up was quick and easy. Runs quietly. Using to control humidity in basement. Have it set up to drain via hose rather than unit reservoir. Does what I needed.
