This model works really well in our apartment, we keep it in the bathroom for showers (we don’t have a vent) but if boiling things or cooking steamy foods in the winter when it’s already pretty west coast damp outside, we use the handy wheels to roll it out into the main room to dehumidify there. Haven’t played with the WiFi options yet.

Purchased: 07/08/2022 This is my 3rd dehumidifier in about a 6 year period. All of them being 30 pints in the past. I decided to go with a 50 pint this time because the cost difference was marginal. This one definitely removed moisture much quicker than the 30 pints. The wifi capability allows me to monitor home humidity while away. After piping this into the house sewer, the dehumidifier can run unattended for months if necessary. Still need to clear the screen filter on occasion. My only gripe is the humidity sensor update interval is either too long, or is inaccurate by about 5-10%. The other humidity sensors in the room update within seconds and show a 1% difference between the two, but this dehumidifier is consistently about 5-10% different than the other 2 sensors in the room. Not a deal breaker, just something to consider when you set the humidity level on the dehumidifier. This unit is much quieter than my previous unit at only 54 db which is a little less than normal conversation (60 db). After having 3 other units from differing manufacturers, this one has a low noise level, drops humidity in a 200 sq ft room quickly and has impressive build quality. Despite the humidity sensor being slightly off, I would still recommend this unit over any of the others.

Pure Crap product how did I end up with 2 bad units GE! The first one worked for like 3 days then just sucked my power like a vampire never sucking moisture from my basement like its intended to do.. my hydrometer just kept climbing with it running.. plugged my 7 year old GE unit in and within moments the moisture was being pulled from the air as intended.. within 2 hours my basement was back to where i like it in the 40-45% range.. so i returned the now not working properly unit back to the store.. they sent me another and this one never did anything..no moisture ever pulled from the air after leaving it running for 2 days straight(monitoring power usage through the app.. another vampire.. not doing its job! I really wanted to enjoy and love this product for years like my older GE unit but after 2 units failing me .. I dont want to waste anymore time or money on this product..this unit will be returned to the store as well!(I was only upgrading because my older model is starting to freeze up a bit after running for longer periods of time.. this one offered a auto defrost feature and was also smart(i have other smart GE appliances)..my basement is a finished basement that stays above the recommended temp at all time.. i really liked that I could monitor the unit with the app..but it never worked properly to dehumidify..just sucked power.) So make ur own decisions on this unit..i rarely review any of my purchases but after 2 of these letting me down.. figured id share my experience with my fellow consumers..Good luck and BEWARE it may let u down as well!!

Very Nice DeHumidifier. Quiet, air it puts out is lukewarm, not hot. Internal bucket holds just under 2 gallons. In the swamp of South West Florida where I live, only takes about 5 hours to fill the internal bucket, when full, the unit turns off, and the full indicator blinks until I either empty the internal bucket or turn off the dehumidifier. The way the internal bucket is made, one doesn't spill one drop of water changing it, although at first appearance one would expect to spill some water, but so far haven't spilled one drop.

I purchased this as a replacement for a smaller GE dehumidifier that stopped working two weeks past the one year warranty. The company gave me a rebate for a new one so I upgraded. So far so good. Very quiet and I like the Wi-Fi option as it’s in the basement.

Had been trying to control a living space that was hovering atound 70% humidity before this unit. Now it has been hovering around 40-50% and air quality improved. The smart features are great the wifi connection is also great accesible through the lg app that shows you more information on humidity, control and power consumption.

Really nice easy to use wifi app and performs well.

Bought this dehumider for our basement, and could not be happier with performance. Humidity in the basement was super high and within day brought down to 35/40. We set at 40 and smart setting and the humidifier has not exceeded 40.

So far, so good...quiet, and not an eye-soar. I love the ability to monitor it via the app. My old unit I would easily forget about myself until I noticed dampness smell. Would recommend it as of now, hoping it lasts.

I like being able to schedule on and off events with the app to save electricity during surge hours. I haven't been able to try the hose it comes with because I don't have a convenient drain, but I've heard you could hang it at a higher elevation and it would still work. I just drain the bucket.

It work great. Very efficient, I would recommend this item.

Works great. However, now I cannot connect to it anymore. Instructions refer to numbers that should be on the back but they are not.

The machine’s functionality is good, but it’s not very sensitive to humility change. In other words, adjusting humility is limited to the machine’s 5% humility increment.

A real pain to set up with the wifi and drain hose connection but does a good job of sucking up the basement moisture

Works well. Wish the smart function was better like a notification to my phone when its full. Or maybe i judt havent figured that out yet. But it works well and is pretty quiet.

It’s not easy to attach the garden hose for drainage to tight it up for pressure draining

What a find. WiFi controllable, desired humidity levels and a drain hose option. We added this to the basement and haven't had to check up on it since. Great investment

Great machine GE has been around forever, & in Pittsburgh with damp basement this little portable dehumidifier dose the job.
