better instructions for window install would help, store was no help. Product itself is great .

My daughter‘s room is in the attic, no vents very hot in the summer. She had an air conditioner before, but it did not cool the room down enough so we decided to buy an air conditioner with higher BTU. I was deciding between this the Madea and the Frododaire I decided to go with GE is it because of their reputation it is very good at calling the room and doing what it needs to do, however, I was disappointed about the fact that it is rather loud. I cannot hear it on the first level floor, which is great because the last air conditioner you could hear and it really bothered me and my husband to sleep, but you can still hear it. Just not as loud loudly. Also, I try to sleep in her room with her one night and I could not sleep because it was too loud for me but then again I am a light sleeper therefore if you want something cheap and don’t mind the noise I would recommend this. Otherwise I would research more about the noise quality because I feel like I should’ve went with probably the Madea, which I heard was a really good producor the Frigidaire

Does a terrific job cooling and isn't very loud. Agree that the auto cool feature isn't the most reliable.

Perfect for 600sq ft and then some. I have a 600sq ft living room with a small hallway that leads outside. Using the ac alongside a fan to help rotate the air cools extremely well and even carries the cold air into the extra space. Upgraded from a 8000 btu unit that struggled to cool half the room when going past 90. The 12000 btu unit eqsily cools the room at upwards of 100 degrees. the 12000 btu unit is a much hungier machine but that is to unferstood when going up to 150% more power. I really like the WiFi capabilities. I initially thought, "how silly. does everythinf need a wifi connection and account now?" the app is decent and does NOT require an account. though it asks for one often enough. I also dont update it most of the time but it still works. The included remote works expectedly but the app is so much more versatile. Simply pulling up my phone and turning it on without worrying about where i am, where the remote is and what might be on my way. Instead of fidling with sleep timers and other bits going on the app and setting a routine is easy and works without issue. I want it to turn off at 12 am every night? I no longer have to get up, activate a sleep timer and do math to get the right time. I have it set up as a daily routine and never worry. want it later, earlier or stopped altogether? easy fix.

Best lightweight easy install cools down a room in seconds works so good. My dad even turned it off.

Very easy to install and much lighter than the old one that this replaced.

Surprised at how well this works for its size and weight- Much lighter then out last Samsung window unit of the same size - cools almost the same as the Samsung-

The only thing I don't like about this air conditioner is that the display is not visible unless you're changing a setting. I personally prefer to see what the temperature and modes are set to without having to interact with it. I bought this on sale for $300 so the value for me was very good, but for full price I am not so sure. Compared to the LG unit this one is replacing, I feel like the quality is just a little under my expectations.

Light, easy to install and runs great. Much better than the older unit it replaced. Turns off when it gets to the temp. that you set. making it quite and saving money.

I purchased the GE 550 window AC for a bedroom, and it has been doing a solid job. It cools efficiently and doesn’t use too much energy. The controls are simple and easy to use. It can be a little noisy on the highest setting, but overall it’s a reliable unit and a good value.

Very happy with this product. Remote and app control. Cools a large room with ease. I always wish they would include more/better foam for blocking the window gap, but that applies to all window A/C units.

Making clicking noise and frosted up and not blowing cold air out of the left side but started working again and not sure what the issue is

I love my air conditioner. Especially with the heat wave that weve been experiencing as of late. Extremely easy to program. Love the convenience of the wifi feature. But most importantly, how it keeps the room fresh and cool
