Nice cooled my entire living room/dining room and made the kitchen comfortable.

In all honesty when the temperature reachs 104 a bucket of ice water will do ! The AC worked when it powered up, like it should. The design is a little more pleasing to the eye than most portable AC units. As for Best Buy, they were excellent in their delivery service. The item was ordered for me from overseas as a gift. Due to the overseas order there was some slight difficulty, but the online adviser knew exactly what to do - excellent.

We purchased this as mostly as an AC bridge to when we could get our central air unit replaced. We placed it in a high ceiling large family room and it helped keep that and the adjacent two rooms relatively cool (about 7 degrees cooler than it would have been otherwise). Maintenance is easy, no water build up to drain with the AC function. I havent used it as a dehumidifier so can’t rightfully comment on it. With the remote control, you can have the fan swivel vertically which hells with circularion

Works great for a big ol house without central air. We have one downstairs and one upstairs.

We have a 1200 sq ft ranch with hot water baseboard heat so no duct work. Thinking about mini split units, but so far havent bit the bullet on that. We have used these a/c unit before. in fact we have on a bit smaller in the bedroom. I recommend a bit larger BTU rating than what you would buy for a window A/C unit. as there is some heat in the duct that goes out the window. Some duct insulation might work, but would look quite tacky. We have had many 90 degree days here in NY with high humidity. With both units running we can come home to comfortable temperature levels. If you fire them up and set down to 69 we were able to obtain 74 degree 50% humidity when outdoor temps were 90 and drenching humidity levels. comes with a dryer type flexible vent hose and parts to use in the window. Will need the foam for the edges to seal off any outside air. If you want to get fancier and have some skills you can make up nice looking and secure setup. Comes with remote as well. great for quieting fan when the phone rings. In summary, this unit does what it is designed to do at a price that was acceptable for a unit of this size. Would purchase again.

Great ac gets very cold, 2 years and still performing great.

It works really well and keeps a large area of my apartment cool. It’s been a life saver in this heat!

Our central AC broke down right at the start of the heat wave and this AC saved us until we could save up to get our house AC fixed. It's strong enough to cool down our 1000 sq ft. House (as long as you direct a fan to the bedrooms). It's a little louder than we were used to but it does a good job of cooling and turning off on it's own when it's reached temps. It also easy to use, and set up. We liked how a light touch was enough for the buttons and that it came with a remote

Very pleased with the cooling function - keeps all of downstairs (3 rooms + kitchen + foyer) at set temperature at low speed. Like that the blower turns off when set temperature is reached. Not pleased with the hose connection: - panels do not fit the standard 27" window - using extension will block the exhaust opening. will not fit the smaller 18" windows at all. - issue with hose 'locking' on window panel - not very reliable - issue with hose locking on unit - unable to unlock - if every get it off, will pre-treat with silicon spray Fan speed: - high fan speed same as my 5 gal shop vac (i.e. very loud...) - low fan speed similar to blow dryer (i.e. not very quiet) Unit weight: at 70# - this will take 2 people to move up front steps and into house. Packaging good - after realizing that cutting straps means box can be lifted straight up off the base. Have not tried dehumidifier function - reluctant to test ability to empty reservoir. Reservoir volume seems limited - and position looks klunky for someone who can't bend down very well.

Bought GE portable A/C unit to cool downstairs of my lake cabin. Works amazing and was simple to set up. Automatic temperature control seems pretty accurate and motor is very quiet. Lowered room temperature quickly from over 80° to under 70°. I wanted to purchase one more for upstairs, but Best Buy was sold out. I purchased LG unit, which seems to work fine, but the GE unit is quieter and more powerful. Solid A.
