Extremely Loud Dryer

We were replacing a 20 year old dryer because it had suddenly become very loud and we thought the motor was going. This new dryer is just as loud as our old one had become. It does the job but is extremely loud when running. It makes me think that we should have had our old dryer repaired instead of replacing it.

Finish buzzer is bad; but good actual dryer

My only gripe is that the buzzer to indicate the drying is done is just horrible. Had I known it was a buzzer like that I might have looked for an entirely different set. Besides that it's a very good dryer!

Due to that and a limited walkway in the laundry area, I had to order a “flat back” dryer. Those dryers are only 1”-1-1/2” deeper than the matching washing machine. Nice size dryer.

A few days before Chistmas, the dryer stopped working. Since it was within the warranty period, I contacted the factory approved service company. They were not available for a week and required a $144.95 trip charge, with not indication that this was covered by the warranty. We ended up using a third party repair service to replace the start button for a cost of $345, more than half the cost of the dryer. The poor quality control and the lack of responsiveness to a warranty repair are reasons to avoid this dryer. You could get an extended warranty, but you will still have the same inconvenience.

You can view more information about the warranty by checking page 11 in the user manual. This can be found by clicking on the "Features" tab, then scrolling down on the page that pops up, then clicking on the link under "User Manual."

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the dryer due to the flat back, making it fit in our closet easy, however, several things on it we do not like, the smaller 6.2 capacity versus our old 7.2 capacity dryer is a huge difference, We have found that you cannot turn off the buzzer that sounds near the end & at the end of the drying cycle for a good 15 seconds and each load takes 80 to 90 minutes to dry clothes!
