Posted .We'd like to share some information about the heat around the cooktop area. When using the cooktop or cooking in the oven, it can be normal to notice this area heat up. This is due to the vent being located under the control panel on the backsplash. We recommend making sure no pots, tea kettles, or other items are blocking the vent. If you still need assistance or if the cooktop area is still extremely warm, we recommend scheduling service with our Bodewell team by calling 1-833-426-3393.

We have had Best Buy out 3 times to fix issues with burners and they even replaced the cooktop after it shattered during cooking. We have only had it 14 Months and now the main burner is not working again. Best Buy wants to charge over $200 to come out and repair it yet again.

Posted .Hello Jenn - Thank you for choosing GE Appliances and providing a review on your range. It is disappointing to hear about the trouble you have had as it must be aggravating. When using cookware on your cooktop, make sure the bottom is flat and does not have any burrs. Rough metals last cast iron are more likely to cause small scratches. We also recommend cleaning the surface regularly with a cleaning cream such as Ceramabryte. We hope this helps and that you keep in touch. - John@GEAppliances

I loved thos stove.....and then I tried to clean it. I will I had done more research. I saw the ste clean option but I just thought it also had a self clean. It does not and steam clean does absolutely nothing. Less than nothing. I hate that I'm living with this store for the next however many years. They should just advertise this as an oven you buy chemicals to clean. I hate this oven. Hate. It
