    Terrible product

    Within a month of installation this dryer tumbled but stopped drying clothes and there was a puddle of water under it on the floor. It was within Best Buy's standard return time so I had it exchanged for a new machine. It worked fine initially then the same problem occurred a couple of months later and by then I had to work with GE to have it serviced. They sent out a repairman who then ordered the part and fixed the issue. Here we are a couple of months later with the same problem. Clearly this model is a lemon! I am stuck with GE continuing to repair this dryer and when it breaks after the year warranty again (which I'm sure it will) I will be purchasing a new dryer and will not buy another GE product again. I was told my GE customer service they will not replace this machine with a different model. I would have rated this product no stars if that were an option!

As with any dryer, it is important that the venting or exhaust be clean and free of any blocks, kinks, or clogs. The dryer has to be able to blow the moisture out.     BRAND NEW DEAD DRYER

    As a quality manager, I would be ashamed if a customer received a product in the condition that I received this dryer. Completely dead upon arrival. The guy who installed it said it could be my circuit breaker or some nonsense, but I tested the outlet with a multimeter and got the exact reading that I shouldv'e. I also checked the installer's wiring job, which was good. Anyway, I already went ahead and began the return process and will purchase Samsung washer and dryer instead of the GE's. I will never buy from that brand again. If you are reading this, save yourself the extra couple of weeks of not having a washer and dryer, and buy from some other brand. This is not a reflection on Best Buy, just GE.

    Stopped Working

    This dryer stopped heating after 14 months of use, two months after the warranty ended. I'm so disappointed. They don't make products like they used to. A dryer should last for years, not conveniently stop when the warranty is over. Do they intentionally make appliances this way so consumers have to repair or buy again? And the GE Appliances phone number is useless as well. You can't talk to a person, only a computer. And it kept disconnecting me. So worthless!

    I am already on my 5 service call. Every time I have to wait for someone to come look at the dryer then wait even longer for the parts. Leaving me without a dryer for weeks at a time. They have already replaced everything in the dryer and the service guy told me he could take out the fuse but it may be unsafe, I told him not to if it would make the dryer unsafe. I do not recommend this dryer it has been nothing but trouble for my family and I.

    This is a horrible buy. I have had it less than a month and have had to make 2 service calls to fix it and it is still not fixed. I am not a happy camper. I bought a new dryer bc ours went out. I got tired of going to the washateria. Three weeks out of the month since I have bought it, I have spent at the washateria. Nobody is trying to help me. I have had enough. So my advice to everyone, is to not buy this dryer.

    Dryer was delivered and after I washed two loads of laundry, put one load in the dryer and turned it on it quit working. It would not turn back on after I found it shut off and laundry still wet! We requested a replacement so hope this was just a one time bad experience!

    Don’t buy!

    We had to repair the dryer twice within the first year - both times were bad fuses. I requested them to extend the warranty, so they did for 6 months. I have often had to unplug it, plug it back in and then it would work again. But now it’s not working again at our 2 year mark. Don’t waste your money!

    This dryer is too noisy. With the laundry room on the second floor of our home, it wasn’t tolerable. It went back. It’s just a basic, old school-type dryer. Not worth the price.

    Rusting drum!

    Purchased less then 6 months ago and the dryer drum is showing rust! Beware: Warranty only for thirty days on "cosmetic" issues!
