Well priced, the door doesn't closed smoothly , plenty of room although the outside looks compact.

This dryer is very easy to use. Large capacity. And fairly quiet.

Love this dryer. It drys great and the size inside accommodates large or small loads. Love the lint catcher. Never had a dryer before that compared with this one's lint catcher. Very glad we got this model dryer! GE makes great products!!

On New Year's Eve, our 30 year old dryer died. We had family down for the holidays and needed a replacement relatively quickly. We wanted a simple dryer that would work as well as our old one did. We didn't want a lot of extra functions, just one that would reliably perform. We chose the GE because of its capacity and its basic options. We went to Best Buy because they had the best price and quick delivery. They delivered the dryer three days later, set up up in our basement, and removed the old one. The delivery crew was fast, efficient, and polite. We have been using the dryer for 4 months and have been very pleased with its performance. It gets clothes dry quickly and is large enough to handle everything we need. This GE is a good, solid machine. If you want a simple, functional product, this one should be right for you. We made the right choice.

Waited 3 months to post the review, but so far it's been working well. I haven't had any issues putting my clothes into this and them coming up dry. The options on the machine are clear as to which setting you need for most items and there hasn't been any major issues. With that said there are some things that made me knock it down to 4 stars: 1. The door needs a good shove to close it all the way. I normally don't slam dryer doors, but this one needed it to catch the latch. 2. Lint collector is a little finnicky in putting it back to place when you clean it off. 3. I wish there was indicators on the machine for settings to use for thicker, rougher materials like denim jeans, towels/washcloths, sheets, and the like. Outside of Timed Dry, there's only Casuals, Cottons, and Delicates on the machine itself. Consult your owners manual for the correct settings for those other items. Overall this thing works great for me, just a few things I wish it had.

Simple GE model that works well. Not a lot of digital computerized stiff on this so it may not break as much as the others. Simple, easy to use, and good for the price.

This dryer was purchased to replace a 17 year-old Kenmore. We chose this brand/model because we wanted a dryer that would likely be easy to repair and maintain. We also didn't need or want a dryer to "do our taxes for us", so to speak. The dryer is a little larger than the Kenmore, but drying time takes longer, which is a little surprising. Same size loads as before, the dryer vent is clear, etc. We experimented with various settings and made sure the controls were set properly. On average, it takes 10-15 minutes longer to dry using the pre-set cycles (Optimum, More, etc.). We found that when using these cycles, no matter the type or size of load, it takes about an hour, but that the clothes are actually dry about 10-15 minutes before the cycle stops. We then tried the timed settings, and found that most loads are dry in 40-50 minutes vs. an hour using the pre-set cycles. That difference multiplied over three or four loads means we finish laundry earlier. Other than the drying time taking longer than expected, we are satisfied with it.

Not happy with the new types of dryers? Well, this dryer still has the 'old school' feel and efficient methods to dry! Easy, effective and cost efficient. Three drying settings! Well worth the price!

I like how simple yet effective the buttons/knobs are to use. Nothing fancy here, but still gets the job done! The buzzer that tells you when it’s finished drying is loud enough to hear from anywhere in the house. It’s also bigger than I thought it would be. Definitely recommend.

Big dryer. Make sure if you buy this one that you get the cord too. I'm sure all dryer require additional cord purchase. Great dryer, would recommend

The first time I buy an appliance from Best Buy the person who helped me was wonderful. I am very happy with my appliance very easy to operate. However, the ringer is very loud, but the good thing is you can turn it to low or turn it off very big mouth area for the dryer, and it matches my new washer perfectly it also fits very comfortably where my old washer and dryer was never realized how big and bulky my old washer and dryer was compared to the new ones thank you

I am not going to get into the delivery problems with a hose that would not come off or a non-working delivery which was all taken care of professionally by BB. I want to focus on what is really important. The Washer is great. My clothing came out brighter, whiter and removed old stains better than my old washer that I was resistant to leave with the purchase of my home, but I am sure glad I left it. I read all the reviews and was afraid to purchase but it was in my price range and a size that would fit in my shallow laundry area after remodeling. Noise. This is not as bad as my old washer by any means. It is off the kitchen in a very open floor plan. When it first started Yes I heard it but it did not drowned out the TV or annoy me. I don't hardly notice the sound now. It does vibrate with the spin cycle some but it does not move from place. You can pause and open this washer which is one reason I liked it. Also, I sometimes look and want just a little more water on a small load and so I put it to medium for a minute and that works without over filling. I have not used all the settings I have only used it 4 times, but so far so good.

Purchased this GE electric dryer mainly because of its compact size due to limited laundry room space. However, do not let the size fool you because it has a lot of drying options and I enjoy the extra tumble features with a lighted interior. Additionally, it is quiet and the signal that ends the drying session can be adjusted.

I love the ease of using it and the size of the inside. I can fit alot of clothes in and use much less water

I was just looking for a basic dryer. It is in a laundry room that no one is in but us. This is perfect. Large drum to fit comforters, dials for every many settings, quiet… works great!
