Dont get me wrong I love GE items but this one has been getting worse everyday. Coils consistently freeze over which then we have to shut it off for them to melt when it is 90+ outside. It is consistently spitting up water all over the floor. It worked great when we first bought it but is barely lasting this summer now that the warranty is gone on the unit.

Posted .Thanks for sharing your experience. For help with the coils freezing issue, set the mode control to High Fan or High Cool with the temperature setting as high as it can be set. If water is leaking inside then there's a good chance the air conditioner is not tilted to the outside. For proper disposal, make sure the air conditioner slants slightly from the case front to the rear. I've checked, and electricity is reaching the plug-in cord, but the A/C isn't even illuminating and just doesn't turn on anymore. Money wasted.

Posted .If you have not already done so, we recommend disconnecting power to your air conditioner for 2-3 minutes to reset the electronics. If the issue persists once power is restored, we recommend returning the unit to your retailer for an exchange since your unit is less than 90 days old based on the terms of your warranty. If over 90 days, please call 1-800-432-2737 for assistance. -Vikki@GEAppliances
