It worked great cooking the house down but when we took it out of the window to store it which we stored inside the house with the others we have we put this back in and now it has a horrible smell to it. It stinks the who house up. We have tried everything to get the smell out and we can not get rid of it. Now we are stuck buying a new unit.

And now that summer is back, when I try to turn it on, it turns on and off within a minute. A terrible disappointment. Honestly, don't spend money on this model. I have friends who've had the same thing happen to them. I recommend the Frigidaire brand. I've had one for years and it works like new.

We got a code reading 88 and loomed it up and apparently a lot of people have issues with this ac after 1-2 years of purchase. Don’t be fooled with the great reviews as it works great but only for a short time..

And it is not returnable according to Best Buy. Very disappointed in both GE and Best Buy. I will never buy another appliance from either again.

Didnt know until it happen to me that this problem happens alot. Cant get repaired because no parts available. I can see if it was a fridge the ran for 2 years straight but literally using it for about 7 months within the two year. Money down the drain. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Haven’t had it for more than 3 months and already it’s icing up and blowing hot air..a total waste of money and a headache. Now I have to exchange it under my warranty for another brand and the process is a whole headache.

This air conditiner does not cool it down at all, and will blow warm air more than it does cool air. Unfortuantely we threw away the box so we cannot return the item or else we would. Definetly would avoid this AC at all cost.
