I was a little surprised at the size when I received this however after using this a few times I get it. This thing does a little bit of everything. Baking. Roasting. Toasting. It could honestly replace an oven in a smaller space. I tried a roast, pizza and a cake in this and had no issues. The instructions are pretty straight forward and buttons are pretty easy. I love the stainless steel look as it matches other appliances in our home. I was honestly expecting a glorified toaster and this thing has exceeded those expectations and then some. I like that this didn't seem to heat up the house as much as using a standard oven and will use this a ton in summer for that reason. Now I just need to find the best way to store or display it because it is large. Overall I think most people will find this useful.

Best value for the price! The overall dimensions are small enough to fit on the counter, and the inside is large enough to hold all the pans I normally use.

We got the GE Calrod 6-Slice Toaster Oven with Convection Bake hoping to consolidate several other appliances and reclaim some counter space.
My first impressions were very good - the unit comes double boxed and packed in Styrofoam for protection and the stainless steel construction is modern looking and sleek.
I also appreciated the controls which are analog style knobs and buttons that can both turn and be pressed to choose your settings and initiate the cooking modes. There is also a small but comprehensive digital display that shows your selected cooking mode and includes a timer and a progress bar that is very useful.
The unit comes with a cooking rack and a baking tray and also an odd looking tool that turns out to be a critical device for removing the hot rack from the toaster oven!
I appreciate that the unit can top out at 450 degrees. My other counter top appliances stop at 400 and the extra heat is useful for broiling or searing food. There are two cooking elements, one at the top and one on the bottom of the oven. The unit will decide which to use based on the cooking mode you select. The convection function has its own button and can be toggled on or off.
My main caution to you is to be VERY careful when the unit is running. The exterior surfaces get extremely hot. Be careful not to burn yourself and make sure that you have lots of clearance around the oven.
Overall this unit is quite versatile and the included convection function allows me to whip things up without having to resort to my full size stove. The GE Toaster oven deserves a spot on your shortlist!

I use it to finish off our baked potatoes after cooking them halfway in the microwave. I have done this for years in our old toaster oven and it worked great but this one tends to scorch them. The frozen biscuits come out with the bottoms so hard that they are inedible and they came out great in the previous toaster(Oster).

Love my new oven. It works great and I like that I can adjust the temperature for baking. This oven uses a lot less power than a regular oven on your stove. It helps me save money on my electric bill too.

The size is a lot bigger than my older toaster oven but not as huge as some I've seen. Very nice looking and fits in with my other stainless appliances. Note there are three different models of this toaster oven. This is the calrod model which is the least expensive of the three.
Lets be honest. My oven can do everything this thing can do and then some. But its nice to have a smaller device that I can use for baking smaller items, toasting, and reheating leftovers. Also in the summer I don't have to heat up the house to cook smaller items.
The controls are very easy to use. I played around with them and had it figured out almost immediately. Showed the family and they were able to start using it without any issues as well. Coming from a older analog toaster oven I really like the digital display. Very clean, bright, and easy to read. The display also auto turns off after a while which is nice feature.
It has a few different modes.
beagle
toast
pizza
roast
bake
broil
keep warm
Note that it is missing air fry but if you need that here is a different model that has that feature. Each mode can be customized as needed. In the modes where it uses the fan you can manually turn it on/off which is nice. I noticed it does heat up a lot faster than my older and smaller toaster oven which surprised me and it seems to keep a pretty consistent temp when baking. The rack position can also be adjusted and flipped as needed.
For toast/beagle the calibration settings for darkness are right on. It makes perfect toast. The manual says it can hold up to 6 pieces of toast at once. I tested this out and sure enough if you scrunch three deep two wide it can hold 6 but its pretty tight. I would say 4 max for larger loaves. It auto turns off after time is up and give a nice audible ding so you know its done.
The only cons I have with it is that it makes a low humming noise when running, even when the fan is off. For example in toast or beagle mode which you would expect it to run pretty silent. Its not super loud by any means but you can hear it throughout the kitchen so you know its running. Also with some modes, for example baking, you have to hit start twice. Once to start preheat and a second after its preheated to start the timer. Wish it would just start the timer as soon as it hits preheat but not a big deal.
Overall I like it and am impressed. This has permanently replaced my older toaster oven and will see a lot of use in the years to come. It has been a great addition to our kitchen.

If you’ve never used a toaster oven or air fryer type kitchen device before, you’re in for a life changing experience! This is a great additional to any kitchen, especially if you find yourself reheating left overs, toasting things a little more in bulk, or needing a smaller connection oven for smaller batches of things like pizza rolls.
You can cook so many things with this from pizza, chicken nuggets, cookies, roast vegetables, and more! If you’ve ever found yourself firing up the oven for a small batch of something, reheating leftovers like pizza that becomes soggy in the microwave, this appliance will change your life. Reheating pizza, chicken, or fries will maintain their crispness, and the ability to bake a couple cookies without having to make an entire batch is the perfect solution sometimes. I find turning the entire oven on, especially during those summer times can be very challenging, this this toaster oven heats up quickly and won’t make anywhere near the BTUs to heat up the kitchen.
Things to note, be sure to follow the manual to “break-in” the unit when you first open it. You need to burn off the protective oils on the elements. Additionally, make sure to leave sufficient room around the device so you don’t accidentally melt something. I have a habit of leaving bread next the toaster oven and have accidentally melted the plastic bag.
Overall, if you’re looking for that extra added super convenient kitchen appliance, look no further! You won’t regret adding a toaster oven to your tool belt, especially if you find your self heating up those frozen snacks for the kids, making a quick personal cookie, reheating leftovers, or just simply needing a more efficient, smaller oven space to cook things, this oven won’t disappoint! Its stainless steel and modern design blends right in and will server you for years to come.

The GE - Calrod 6-Slice Toaster Oven with Convection bake is a very nice looking stainless steel toaster. A little on the bigger side than most toaster ovens, however, it does replace the toaster while including the a toaster oven.
Digital display and rotary control knobs are easy to learn and use. Different settings for different cooking functions. Probably, my most favorite use is the warm feature, nothing beats warm chocolate chip cookies.
It does take a few minutes to heat for baking, but better than powering up the oven. Size wise, it will accommodate a small pizza or enough toast for a weekend breakfast in one swoop.
The negative I would say that the drip/crumb tray, isn't necessary a tray, more of a plate. Crumbs can fall of the tray when removing for cleanup and oils/grease can definitely run off of it.
But overall, it's a very versatile toaster oven. Does more and looks better doing than standard toaster. Easy enough to use for my senior mother. And that's what's most important!

This GE toaster convection oven is an excellent addition to our kitchen. It has a stylish stainless steel design that will look good in any kitchen. Many convection ovens I've seen have a very cheap look & build. Not this one. Size is excellent. Big enough for all but the biggest meals yet small enough for almost any countertop. Very simple to use with very even heat. If you need an oven for a small apartment, a cabin, garage, ect I really don't think you can go wrong. The digital readout is easy to see and the controls are very straight forward with various quick settings (bake, broil, toast, pizza, ect). I can see this being very handy around the holidays when there never seems to be enough oven space for everything going on. For the price this is an essential purchase for any kitchen.
