Customers love the ease of use and air frying capabilities of this convection toaster oven, finding it to be a good value. Many appreciate the size and design, although some mention challenges with preheating time and the lack of an interior light. While the quality is generally praised, a few users note difficulties with cleaning certain components and achieving even temperature distribution.

I bought 2 of these one for me and one for my mother. Tried to set 375 temperature but only offers 370 then 380. Once I set it to make at 370 it jumps to Air Fry (out of bake mode). Not user friendly at all my mother is technically challenged so she went back to her regular toaster oven. I was terribly disappointed because it looks very nice sitting on my counter. I bought it because I dislike my gas stove that doesn't cook well and I can always smell gas. Going to exchange it for one simple to use.

I received the GE Convection Toaster Oven and as soon as I opened the box, you could tell it was a quality product. The stainless steel is a great feature. It comes with all necessary accessories. It looks great on our counter-top and doesn’t take up that much room. And did I mention it is easy and awesome to cook with?
We have used it to bake cookies, a cake, and homemade biscuits and its way faster than our conventional oven. Since we have had this GE product, we have used it exclusively, its so simple. We have cooked frozen pizzas, chicken breasts, chicken tenders, and will toast six slices of bread in no time.
I love the controls, which, I must say did take some time to get used to, but once you figure it out it is so easy. And the cook time is so much faster. We had another product similar to this, and we enjoyed it (we now use it in our camper) this GE was far superior. It makes cooking/baking a breeze.
We use the air fryer more on this GE than we did our previous toaster/convection oven, and to me, it seems to be better. The food is crispier and seems to have less grease. Don’t know why, it just seems to circulate the air better and I think with have a digital display instead of a knob to guess what the temperature setting is makes a difference.
Its also easier to clean. I love the pullout crumb tray located on the bottom, its a breeze to clean. All the accessories are made in such a way that they too, are simple to clean. I would highly recommend the GE Convection Toaster Oven w/ Air Fry.

Great Oven with flaws

This oven does everything and it does it well, but read on. So far we have air fried a chicken, baked a roast with the convection, baked a pizza, and toasted several English muffins. All were quick. Especially toasting. Seems to toast quicker than an actual toaster. The air fryer time is similar to our old one. The controls are very simple to use. The Start/stop button is self explanatory. Then there are to large knobs. One does nothing but select the mode of cooking by scrolling through the different baking modes. The other matching knob sets the temperature and time (slices and darkness when toasting). This oven has no memories or built in recipes, so that’s it. It is fully and simply controlled by these three controls which is nice. Everything has been delicious. The air fried chicken was brown and crispy while juicy on the inside. The roast was the same as being baked in the range convection oven, but I would assume a lot less electricity. The muffins were toasted evenly. The interior is a decent size and fit a small frozen pizza. It comes with a toasting rack, backing pan/tray, and air fryer basket (goes over the tray when air frying). None of these are nonstick and the air fryer basket is VERY difficult to clean. The accessories are NOT easily cleaned as stated in the description. The very first time we air fried, the drippings into the baking tray stuck to it and left it permanently kind of pitted. The outside of the unit is huge compared to the interior. This is not a small oven. The control panel and I assume the baking components (top of the oven) are approximately 4 inches higher than the interior of the oven. For most standard kitchen cabinets this only leaves 3-4 inches of clearance. Yet the instructions say it has to have eight inches of clearance. Therefore we have to pull it out to the front of the cabinet top to use it which is annoying. The eight inches is understandable though as this thing gets very hot on the outside (all surfaces). When air frying, baking, or convection baking it really heats up. The door easily gets hot enough on the outside to cause a burn. Even toasting a muffin for three minutes the glass window gets hot enough to burn. This is a huge negative as our old air fryer stayed cool everywhere on the outside when frying. Another minor negative is that the instructions are not clear and poorly written. Overall if you have a lot of counter space and a space with no upper cabinet, this is a decent oven if you don’t mind how hot it gets on the outside. While the technology and interior size are impressive, the other negatives likely outweigh these. There are definitely better air fryers out there and possibly better combo ovens, even if a few less cooking modes.

Best air fryer! It works so well. I didn’t think I would use this air fryer often but I ended up using this air fryer a lot. It cooks bacon so well. All I had to do was put the bacon in this air fryer, waited and got perfect bacon! It’s so easy to clean as well.

A Very High Quality Multi-function Oven

This oven oozes quality. The finish, feel, and quality of moving parts like the balanced and properly sprung door, the knobs, button, and display are excellent. Someone has put some real thought into every part you see and touch to optimize it. I’ve had several toaster ovens and one other air fryer oven. All had a light inexpensive feel to them. You would not confuse them with a large oven or big appliance. It seems like the team that designs the big GE kitchen ovens designed this one. You get that same quality feel.
Typically, on a toaster oven you get a display that looks at home on a free calculator. Not here! The screen is obviously a high-quality display panel, it seems suitable on a large GE Café line oven. Clear, brightly lit, very easy to read. Navigating the many is simple, one of the easiest I’ve ever used on an oven with so many features to pick from.
The bottom crumb pan is typically a flat piece of steel that is barely adequate and if tipped ever so slightly on the way to the trash, some if your load is easily lost. The GE tray crumb pan has an indent to hold crumbs.
This toaster oven is large. Large enough to cook a 12” pie. Up to 4 slices of toast, and all comes out perfect, the Air Fryer works extremely well as well, far better than my last unit. The GE oven is powerful, it can get up to 450F. I’ve never had a toaster over get that hot. 400F is typical, a few do 425F, but 450F and broiling is not common.
This Toaster Oven is much better than most. Calling this a “Toaster Oven” is a bit misleading as it lumps it into a broad category with many inferior units of low quality and varying features. A better name would be Multi-function Oven or Utility Oven.
The user manual is clear and easy to read. Lots of white space. But some of that white space could have been used to provide more details. For example:
• Page 8 instructs to use the Air Fry basket on the middle rack position. The basket is too narrow and cannot slide in on its own. Other Air Fryers I have used instruct to place the basket on the baking pan. A person new to air frying may not know this.
This is how I used it here. I also positioned the pan so there is about ¾” in the front and back to promote good air flow.
• The interior surfaces appears to be bare steel. However, it is very smooth, like there may be some coating on it. Hopefully there is something to help keep it clean, especially with air frying. Nothing is mentioned in the Use Guide on this however.
Still there is room for improvement. It’s a short list.
1. There is no interior oven light. One would be useful to have, especially when learning cooking times for the air fryer or using the top shelf where there is little light.

We appreciate you sharing your experience with your toaster oven. When the oven is in operation it's important you provide a minimum of 4" air clearance on all sides of the unit and not operate the unit under any cabinetry. If these issues continue, please reach out to us (GE Appliances) via private message on Facebook, X, or Instagram so that we may learn more about your situation. Make sure to include your full model and serial numbers along with a copy of this review

Great Air-Fryer for various foods

The GE Air Fryer is an air fryer with quite a few functions. The bottom floor of t he air fryer is a removable bread crumb tray. It makes it easy for cleaning up small debris and anything that drips on the floor of the air fryer. The air fryer is quiet compared to other air fryers I have used. It cooks evenly, but it tends to take a bit longer to cook things compared to other air fryers. There is also no interior light. A light would have made it easy to have a clear view of what the food looks like inside the unit. There’s an external window, but a light would have been a nice tough. The cooking accessories seem a bit cheap. The grill tray does not have a middle brace. Without a middle brace cross brace, the longer braces aren’t as sturdy. Overall it’s a nice air fryer that can be used to cook quite a few different foods.
