Works well, the app can be a little finicky but only occasionally. It was easy to set up with my Google home. For the price, tough to beat.
As a warning though, using Google home, you cannot set this up to function on a schedule. This is through no fault of this plug, Google won't allow it due to safety reasons

Purchase this plug from Best buy. The reason for this is that I have a 4 ft. fluorescent bulb above my workbench. Who ever installed this year's ago just ran the cord across the ceiling them down the wall to the plug. So I would have to plug it in when I wanted to use it. With this plug I now can use my Google home app. or the Cync app. To turn it on and off. Now going into the garage I no longer have to turn all the lights on. I just turn this light above the workbench. Setup was easy, just plug it in and then set it up in the Cync app or you can also use the home app. I also have the option to turn it on manually as it has an on/off button on the side of the unit. I wish I had done this before now. PS you can easily use this in the home for many other things.

I recently decides to try some smart home tech and I saw this on sale for $9.99 I figured that this was my opportunity and if I didn't like I could return. This plug doesn't disappoint. I like being able to turn off and on my lamp using just my voice. I set up a scene to turn on the lamp every morning to wake me up and so far it's been great.

This little plug is amazing. So much easier to set up than the older plugs that first came out. It's great to turn on your bedside light or living room lamp with a simple command. We plugged our Christmas tree into it and it's so easy to just turn it on with my phone or my google mini.

This is a really good smarthome product if you simply want to turn something on or off anytime remotely. I use it for lamps and coffee pot (I dont like using a timed coffee pot because I dont always know when I'm going to wake up-- this works out perfect) The GE C app makes it really easy to setup and use.

Simple and easy smart plug with a physical switch on the side just in case. i have a few of these and they have not disappointed yet. the only thing id change is that it would remain in the on position when power supplying wall switch is flipped off then back on.

Allows you to make a non-smart appliance into a somewhat smart item by turning things on remotely. Of course, you can't access any controls on the electrical item remotely, but this device is not intended to do that. But if you have a lamp, heater, fan, crockpot, etc. that you want to be able to turn on or off while you are away, this plug will enable you to do that.

Pretty easy to use and set up with your smartphone. The only thing is that the GE app used to control the smart plug goes by a different name. Other than that, its' a reliable smart plug. I used this for our Christmas lights so I could set them to turn on and off automatically.

Works great. I don't like how bulky it is though. Covers up the other plugs. I use this device to set routines when we leave the house or go to bed. Turns on fans and Christmas tree. Multiple applications.

The device works as expected in conjunction with the Amazon ecosystem. It responds to Alexa and the Alexa device routines. The stand-alone C by GE app, however, is a bit of an abomination. From lax security, starting with imposing limits on passwords that make them incredibly weak, to being Bluetooth only, severely limits the app. I do have concerns that my Amazon account is linked to C by GE via this weak password. I did run in to one issue after a power failure where I had to manually reset the device to get it to work again. I hope this is a one-off and not indicative of what to do every time the lights blink around here.

I bought these to replace some cheap one's I bought off Amazon that quit working. I wanted to go with a better brand. When I went to setup, I began running into the same issues I did with the cheap brand. They would not connect. I finally found out it was because my phone was on lower power mode. Unfortunately, I was unable to find this information through Cync's support, so it took much longer to figure it out. After that, they have worked well, but the app is a little weird and not as intuitive as others I have used.

I’ve been using the C by GE system for years now with a few bulbs via the app. It wasn’t until I moved into a new apartment that I decided to add some more light bulbs and purchase a bridge to be able to use Siri/HomeKit. I had the C-Reach for only 5 days before it stopped working. Resetting didn’t work. After speaking with a GE Support chat agent, that I decided to try the Smart Plug. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SMART PLUG! It’ll save you all the headaches of the C-Reach and you’ll still be able to use Siri, Alexa, and Google Home. The broadband usage is low & the system now is seamless. You’ll be happy you purchased the Smart Plug!

So since I have a bunch of Google Homes and minis and displays I decided to try out the "made for Google" C by GE line. I initially bought a dimmer switch which worked fine and looks nice. It connects to WiFi through the C by GE app and then gets linked to your Google account through Google's version of the C by GE skill. I then purchased the 2 pack of RGBW C by GE bulbs which pair directly to the Google Home via Bluetooth. The colors were quite good...saturated and reasonably bright. If actually put them at about the same quality color as Philips, but a step below Lifx. The voice commands work fine and it's nice that it's all locally controlled versus having to phone home to China like most of the cheap RGB WiFi lights do. Then I decided to pick up the C by GE smart plug which also acts as a Bluetooth to WiFi bridge for the C by GE light bulbs. It worked fine. The HUGE drawback for anyone wishing to use a hub and/or advanced animations (scenes, dynamic colors, etc) is that these devices don't have integrations with anything other than the common voice assistants. This is fine if you're not techie and don't want to use the lights in an advanced way...but if you're thinking these are going to allow features like Hue Entertainment, there truly is no way to make this happen. I tried via ifttt, smart things, home assistant, mqtt, etc. No dice. My recommendation is to go with zigbee or z-wave compatible lights that connect to your hub. This gives you a far greater degree of control. I ended up returning all of my C by GE stuff and going with more Hue lights and a TP Link Kasa dimmer and smart plugs.

Very simple. Works well with my existing good home hub and mini, and two other C by GE lights, and two LIFX light. C by GE is a little tricky in setting up, but besides that, the products do well for their jobs, and the price is right for the quality.

I bought this so we could turn on and off our Halloween lights but it looks like it won’t turn them on unless my phone is nearby with the Bluetooth on and it also won’t connect with Alexa so maybe I’m just not doing something right I need to look more into it, over all for the price I got it for it’s a good deal and I use my points to get it, So it was good for the price but I will be looking into seeing how it actually needs to work especially now for Christmas that we’re gonna be out and about and we’re not gonna be home in time to turn them on
