I purchased this antenna in hopes of receiving stations 40 miles away. I have no obstructions near my home, and yet I get no more channels then when I had a cable wrapped around my chimney. Tweaking doesn't help. Just a huge waste of money.

Depending on your location regarding terrain, elevation, etc. and depending on the location of the transmitters for your local stations will determine in large part, the type of antenna required to pull in the stations. Both your general location and the specific area that the antenna is located can affect reception. The distance, terrain and obstacles (buildings, power lines, etc.) between you and the signal tower greatly affect the strength of the signal that reaches you. Where you locate the antenna in the room can also affect the strength of the signal that you receive. You can use a website like www.tvfool.com to find the direction your signals are coming from and position the antenna where it is facing toward the tower, as well as, positioning the antenna as high off the ground as you can. The repositioning will allow for optimum reception. You will need to rescan your channels once the antenna has been repositioned.

This antenna claims to get channels from as far as 70 miles away. Living in the middle of the city, I thought it would certainly catch the local channels. After I programmed the TV, it pulled in several channels, but two that are about 12 miles away wouldn't even register. I ended up taking it back.

The construction on this antenna is cheap and molded plastic, The instructions for assembly are very vague and when I finally did get it hooked up the range that it boasted was false and I picked up fewer channels than I did with my much cheaper antenna. I could not make the directional motor work and the store is over fifty miles from my home. Total waste of time and money!!!

I bought this outdoor GE Antenna after returning an RCA indoor antenna that did not work. This GE antenna was easy to install and allows me to get 41 channels for FREE in Henderson, Nevada. So it works in mountainous terrain. I get all of the local channels and more. This doesn’t contain the coax cables but if your home already has a satellite dish installed, you can use those coax cables. I can’t say enough good things about this antenna! Cut the cable and save $1,000’s per year!

Hello Jake, we are very disappointed to hear about your recent unsatisfactory experience you had with our product. As the manufacturer, our mission is to provide complete customer satisfaction and quality products that deliver the expected performance.

Your channel will depend on the signals provided by your local stations in your area. Signals can vary based on line of sight and obstruction in the signal path such as terrain, building and metal construction. This antenna is designed to be a direction antenna. You can use a website like www.tvfool.com to find the direction your signals are coming from and position the antenna where it is facing toward the tower. Once you have located the direction of the signal, you will need to scan for channels on your TV. This is a very important step. Your TV will NOT receive signals from the antenna without doing a channel scan.

For more tips, our packing will come with a QR code, located on the back of the box. Picks Up VHF in Wooded Urban Area

Picks up VHF in wooded urban area where indoor and omnidirectional antennas (amplified and unamplified).. I live 18 miles from the bank of antennas in Miami. A Channel Master omnidirectional 45 mile antenna was installed on the roof, but it had problems with VHF channels (ABC, FOX). Indoor antennas like Mohu leaf also didn't receive these channels. With the GE directional antenna, I now receive all UHF and VHF channels in Miami. I am only giving 4 stars since the power of the signal on all channels is around 40% (100% quality). Overall, I am happy with this product and would buy again.

This GE - Pro Outdoor Yagi Antenna works for Me

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I had to take down my old TV because I had a new roof put on my house. While I was at it. I had figured that I can get a new TV antenna to replace my old TV antenna. I did some research and I chosen the GE-Pro Yagi. I live around 15 straight miles northwest from the TV towers. The GE-Pro Yagi is about half of the size of my old TV antenna. I had installed the Yagi on an existing mast. I did not use the mounting bracket that came with the Yagia. Some of the TV channels that I had trouble in receiving with my old TV antenna. The channels are now holding on with the new Yagi. The only problem that I have on at least two channels (at no fault of the new Yagia) is some interference (digital breakup) from aircraft taking off in the south direction from an international airport. I live about 12 straight miles southwest of the airport's center. When the aircraft are landing in the north direction. I do not have the interference from them. The GE-Pro Yagi works for me.

Tried an indoor model first and only got about 30 channels(and 1 tv). Exchanged for this one (2 TV's) and was blown away! Temporarily mounted in attic(after testing) because it's January and there's snow on roof,. We get 63 channels and the HD ones are clearer/crisper than the fiber optic cable we cancelled! Simply attached to existing coax splitter in attic, done! Kicking myself for not doing this sooner!
