I really like the set up of this refrigerator/freezer. And I especially like the shelves on the door of the ice compartment to maximize storage space. I also really like the auto fill sensor and adjustable tray that pulls out to fit larger items. I knocked off a star since my ice compartment door keeps freezing to the ice unit which makes it difficult to open with the plastic latch.

GE Profile Tops Any LG fridge. Definitely.

From previous reviews, I already knew what to expect with any flaws. But, honestly, I have no criticisms of this beautiful, spacious GE Profile fridge. Yes, there are a few, tiny bits of plastic stuck in the edges of the case but this is just nitpicking to mention it. At least the packing protocal resulted in not a single scratch anywhere. Just perfect! I toyed with the idea of a few LG models with their glitzy gimmicks like Craft Ice or door-in-door, but came to my senses and decided to match my fantastic, fairly new GE Profile gas range, especially after researching customer service satisfaction. Glad I checked. But it was close for many weeks of checking them all out. GE Profile won out. Oh so gorgeous! Extremely quiet. Bright lighting interior, well thought design and oodles of space for a French door. After four years of an old, side by side Fridgidare, I am thrilled to enjoy such a wonderful refridgerator. No more searching for lost items in the dark interior. My kitchen is now completely updated. My thanks to the Geek Squad delivery team, Derick and Richard, who were professional, competent, polite and ON TIME with courtesy calls.

I have always like GE, but a few years back their Profile line was kind of junky. They have totally fixed those issues, and the Profile line is now top notch for the price. This fridge has good space for counter-depth, and for just 2 people, more than enough room. Other than being a little loud once in a while, it's an excellent product.

So far so good with this fridge. Got lucky and they had one in stock. Love the lighting inside the fridge. The freezer i was worried about, but it actually has quite a bit of room. I have it full now, even have a 20 lb brisket in it. I would definitely recommend this fridge if you need a counter depth. It has great door storage and plenty of room.

Love our new GE Profile refrigerator. It is counter depth & fit in perfectly where our previous side by side refrigerator had been. So much space and so easy to see everything inside! We would definitely recommend this refrigerator to friends.

Two separate units had misaligned doors (the top shelf on the left door rubbed against the right door when opening/closing), there were shallow impressions/dents on the left doors, and the second unit had a leaky door from the water/ice maker. They also were relatively noisy, and the freezer door was hard to open. We finally switched back to a tried-and-true GE Profile side-by-side model and couldn’t be happier.

The refrigerator is spacious and looks great. Love the flexibility of the shelves, but the ice maker spews ice all over the floor when accessing, and the handle to the freezer drawer pulled straight off within two weeks of purchasing.

We've had this fridge for over 6 months and there are a couple issues.
1. When installing, the water line to it was kinked and no water was coming through, I had to tape the line to the back of the refrigerator to get the line to stay open. This was at the start of coronavirus lockdowns and I didn't know when they would be able to deliveries again so I just kept it but hope that it doesn't become an issue.
2. Auto-sense doesn't work right anymore. The autosense feature was great at first and I used it to fill up glasses with a simple press of a button while I was working on other things in the kitchen, however lately it's taken to overflowing the majority of the time. I haven't had the time to spend troubleshooting to see if there is an easy fix.
3. Handle kept coming off the freezer. When first installed, it was fine for a month or so. Then, the handle kept popping off the freezer. One time when it popped off it scratched the finish up some. I had to get a GE service technician to come out because for some reason I could never get it to stay on. It's been good since then but I'm constantly paranoid it'll start popping off again.
4. The water filters for this are idiotic. They put a pointless chip on them to force you to buy overpriced GE (Actually Chinese brand Haier) water filters at $50 each when they are actually just $15 everywhere else. Besides that though, the refrigerator has an internal clock that tracks exactly six months from filter replacement and counts down until that date (showing a display on the refrigerator for the last 2 weeks and consistently every day after). Once you replace the countdown starts all over again whether the filter really needs to be replaced or not.
Otherwise it seems to work as it should.

Purchased 4/4/24 and after just 3 weeks ice maker stopped then temperature in freezer & fresh food started to rise. Best Buy said it was warranty only thru GE and GE couldn't get to me for 2 weeks. Also - they repair first, you can't demand a replacement. Ordered parts and now waiting 2 more weeks for install. It is a known issue with the coolant line leaking! I like the fridge, but GE needs to fix this problem & get more techs - unacceptable! Oh - and GE did send checks for $225 to cover food loss and purchase of mini fridge? Meanwhile, parts have been delivered to us and we wait for a tech to come on June 7.

Love the looks and design of the refrigerator. However first delivery the refrigerator had a scratch in the door and the side of the body was bowed out making it wider than it should have been. Second delivery lasted 3 weeks before the front panel and water/ice and internal lights failed. Awaiting on GE Service to come fix that issue as Best Buy says not their issue outside of the 15-day after delivery window.

Replaced a similar model GE-Profile refrigerator that lasted 13 years. So far, like this one as well. It seems a little bigger than our last one.
Only gave 4 stars because we've only had it for a month. Delivery and install service from Best Buy was great!

For the price, I wish this product was a little better. We wanted to match our other GE Profile appliances, so we went with this one, the counter dept. The regular depth we felt might have been sticking out a bit too much. Well, that made a huge difference on how much space there is. There's hardly any compared to a regular fridge. I almost wanted to return it and get the regular one, but we had to leave the country for several weeks soon after. I like the shape of the ice, they are bigger, but they get stuck together in their molds, can come out together, bounce all over the place, and not even make it in your glass. We are picking up ice cubes off the floor constantly. You almost have to cup your hands to guide the ice into your glass. The water dispenser works fine, but the automatic fill does not always work will many types of cups or glasses. It doesn't fill enough, or overflows. The tray that catches the overflow of water stains very easy. I never had to clean our other one this much. It's also seems to be made very chintzy. I feel like someday it will break. The text on the buttons don't light up, so at night, you can't see them. The drop down tray beneath the butter storage is totally chintzy. We'll never use it. The finish on the fridge is great. It doesn't pick up oils as much, and is easy to clean. The overall look of it inside and out looks nice The shelves and door shelves are made well and seem sturdy. The freezer portion is once again really small compared to a regular size fridge. I understood we'd be losing space with this model, but there is a crazy difference. Finally, and it's a weird one, the plastic that came on it to protect it, it's so so hard to get off. We've had this fridge for quite some time, and we still don't have it all off. It's like they manufactured it with it one, where it's stuck between all of the pieces. It's a total pain trying to get off, and I'm honestly not sure how to do it the right way.

Excellent product and design, although we had the same model before. Did not last for more than 6 years. Hope this lasts longer. GE won't budge on any allowances and merely claim that a $3,500 fridge doesn't last last very long.????
