Refrigerator compartment not cooling

The freezer cools to 0 degrees with no problem, but the refrigerator after 4 days still only reaches a temperature between 39-40 degrees. Yesterday the water dispenser sensor stoped working also. A new replacement is scheduled to arrive this Friday, fingers crossed. We bought a digital and standard thermometer and verified the temperatures in both the refrigerator and freezer, in addition we placed another thermometer in a glass of water in the refrigerator. Several appliance repair sites suggested using the thermometer in the glass of water is one of the most accurate ways to check the temperature based on the water prevents any variations in the air movement in the refrigerator.

Great purchase

It's just what I needed for my new apartment. I got 0% financing for 18 months too! Shoutout to Stephen who helped me out.

No complaints about operating noise. Ice does make a noise at drops into storage bin, but that is true of all similar icemakers. Like the shelving arrangement. Seems to be more room than in previous Samsung of same size. Doors are a bit harder to open. I assume this is to ensure a tight seal and reduce energy use.

I was skeptical in purchasing only because of the reviews stating it was loud actually it’s not as far as running. The only thing that’s a little loud is the ice when dispensing but otherwise I love it!

The one thing that I am unhappy with is the plastic covering on the doors is almost impossible to get completely off. They put the plastic coating on the stainless steel before attaching it to the door so it leaves plastic pieces btw the door and stainless steel covering.

Quality Manufacturer but Underwhelmed

I love the interior lighting and the autofill water sensor in the door. This model is only counter depth and I underestimated the reduced capacity. If a person has a larger capacity refrigerator and you use every inch of it, I would not recommend getting a counter depth model. I also found the shelving to be a bit thin and flimsy but I believe that the entire industry is moving in that direction so not much to be done about that. I can only hope the major systems will hold up over the coming years.

So far I love it. I was a little unhappy on delivery when the two men said we can’t install because you have a copper line that’s not up to code. He said we’ll put it in your garage and you’ll get a call from the office. I received that call and I would need a plumber to put in new connect. I asked when they would return to complete installation. I was told next Monday if they could find time in th schedule. I was able to get a plumber the same day He did the simple replacement part and asked if I wanted him to complete installation. Of course I said yes. All my frozen food was in coolers and at neighbors house. Of course there was a charge and that was included in my purchase price. I thought installers carried simple supplies and knew how to complete the job. They should know how to do more that plug an appliance into the wall.

This model has Hands-Free Auto Fill that allows you to save a little time when you are working in the kitchen. Also, this does have the option to add a second (IM5D) icemaker in the future, if desired.
