Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I expected to have to pay a lot more for a decent cooktop after reading a lot of reviews, but my wife surprised me and picked this one which easily meets all of our needs and didn’t break our bank. So far it is performing great and no problems. Our house is 31 years old so we expected problems with install. But, Best Buy took care of the install and within an hour is so it was installed and ready for cooking.

The flat top cooks the food evenly. And I love that the GE branding is not noticeable so if you are integrating it in a kitchen with other brand appliances, it will fit in seamlessly. Great buy!

Great cooktop!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This unit replaced an old Whirlpool unit. It heats evenly on all burners. So far it, cleans up easily. Have not used the joint burner yet, but it is a nice to have to keep that size server warm. The burners with the 2 sizes also heat quickly. It looks good and seems to be a brighter finish on the top than many others we saw. So far veryk pleased.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best Buy sent a contractor to measure and scope out the cook top space in our kitchen, and then sold us a cook top that didn't draft down as we required. Best Buy then took back that cook top, sold us another (more expensive of course), and charged us for its contractor's installation of the cook top. When the contractor showed up, he didn't have the new cook top and asked us for it! When he finally tracked it down, the new cook top didn't fit our counter cutout, even though it had been measured to fit. Ultimately had to hire our own contractor to enlarge the cutout space and install the new cook top. Still waiting for Best Buy to reimburse us for the installation charge.

The actual size of the cooktop is 29 3/4" not 30" and believe that 1/4" makes a difference. The so-called power boil is anything but it takes at least 10 min to bring a small kettle of water to a full boil at highest heat setting . . . ugh!
