Absolutely worth it if you can find it on sale! It’s sleek, quiet, and cools effectively while barely sipping electricity. I really appreciate the dual-hose design that comes straight up from behind the machine rather than out the back; it saves a lot of space that way and I can put the unit much closer to the wall/window. The bracket at the end of the hoses makes it a lot easier to install and the window insert is straightforward to adjust and comes with a decent solution for insulating your window better than most. The smart features and automation options are also really nice to have, but there’s still a regular remote if you don’t want to set it up with your phone. Sitting a lot more comfortable this summer and saving on electricity for years to come!

First off be prepared, because its heavy! Definitely gonna need two IF you’re planning on going upstairs! Secondly, its get cold very quick and the noise it produces is okay. Its similair to having a fan on full blast. However the quite mode makes up for it! The app that is optional to download makes things very simple and yes you can set up routines for when you want to have the unit turn on and off! My only problem is that I should’ve checked the filter! Its a little beaten up but it does not cause any issues with my cooling performace! Also, if needed for clarification. It does not have a heat mode. Just cold, dry and fan.

It's not bad. Does have some flaws, such as the window kit, which is rather flimsy and fiddly to get in place and does not seal very well by itself, but does work once I put my own extra materials to improve it. And although this unit is very quiet on high fan speed with cool mode, sometimes something inside the unit starts rattling which is kind of annoying, but most of the time it runs it's very quiet. Tried using the upper drain into a bucket but that seemed to intensify the rattling, so I removed that and just let it self-evaporate any water it produces. Draining from the lower drain works well enough and doesn't really produce much water at all, even after running all day. I did put the unit on a slightly raised platform to isolate any low frequency vibration, keeping it from traveling through the floor into other parts of the house, and it makes draining from the lower drain a bit easier. Using the wifi with the app works, but is somewhat buggy, so I don't use it, although it could be useful for shutting the unit off or turning it on while away from home. All things considered, it does work well and competes with a window unit of the same BTU.

It comes with a auto drain tube so I don't have to keep dumping the unit over and over. Huge plus! I got it to help counteract the heat from all my electronics. I sometimes have to turn turn it off because it's too cold (which is a good thing).

    Quiet Portable Comfort

Portable air conditioners are great for temporary/seasonal use or where a window unit is more problematic to install. This portable a/c is not only quiet but convenient and compact to store or move when not installed in a window. We live in South Florida where central a/c is the norm, but a house without a/c here is somewhat unbearable. If the power goes out, we get a storm, or the central a/c dies, a portable unit like this is a lifesaver for at least one room of the house at a time. Highlights: * Compact and self-contained when not in use. * Quiet when running at normal levels. * Nice remote with large backlit display. * WiFi and App integration. * Convenient Sleep and Delayed Start/End features. * Easy to set up in the app. * App enables scheduling. * Wheels roll easily on hard flooring. Areas for Improvement: * Remote’s buttons are not backlit. * Remote has no “home” to store it when not in use. * Wheels could be a tad larger for easier rolling on carpets. * No water pump or heat mode in this model. Setup: After unpacking all the parts and laying them out, choose an appropriate window where the air hoses will be installed. The hoses stretch quite a bit but you’ll still need to find a spot where this portable a/c unit can be somewhat near the wall under that window. The unit is quite heavy to lift up or down stairs, but the handles on the sides and the wheels on the bottom help get it where it’s needed. While it rolls easily on hard flooring, you might find it more challenging to roll around on thicker carpets. The unit comes with 5 interlocking panels that should adjust to fit most windows. In one there is an oval opening where the part from the a/c unit will snap into. After you assemble the panels together to fit in the window opening, stretch the two hoses out as far as you need and snap the end into the opening. Various foam insulation bits are also provided to make a more air-tight fit. Plug in the power cord to a standard grounded outlet and you’re ready to start cooling off your room. Optionally, you can set up the unit’s WiFi and app for remote control and scheduling of when the a/c should run. To set up the WiFi and the app, download the free SmartHQ app from the App Store - this is the same app used by a lot of GE Profile products. I already had the app and an account for a few other Profile appliances, but if this is new to you, just get the app and set up a free account. Once you’re in the app, bring your phone near the a/c unit and it should pop up a notice asking you to connect to a new device. Follow the instructions in the app to put the a/c unit is “WiFi Access Point” mode, select your home’s WiFi, enter the WiFi password and in a few minutes, your app can control the a/c when it’s plugged in. Usage: The control panel has 10 touch-sensitive buttons, a digital display for the temperature, and a few backlit indicators to let you know what’s going on with it. All of the lights turn off after inactivity, but you can wake them up by tapping any button. Once awake, a single tap operates the function. This is kinda nice that the unit runs dark until you choose to interact with it. The air outlet has a motorized louver that closes completely when the unit is off, and opens when it’s on to several vertical positions or swings up and down to better direct the air flow. The provided infrared remote control has a huge backlit display to show the ambient and set temperatures, the operating mode, fan speed, and louver position. There are distinct buttons to set everything, but all of the buttons except for the temperature +/- button, are the same size, not backlit and have just words on them (no icons). The backlighting on the remote turns on briefly when any button is pressed and then back off again after inactivity. It would have been nice if the buttons had different sizes or shapes, or at least were backlit to make it easier to find the right button in lower lighting conditions. I guess at night, the main buttons to push are the +/- to adjust the temperature set point and those are easy enough to find. The controls on the unit allow you to set a start delay such as waiting 4 hours to turn on, or an off timer such as turn off in 8 hours. You can also set a “quiet” mode that doesn’t cool off the room as fast, but does it much more quietly. The Sleep mode slowly raises the set temperature over an hour to let you fall asleep and then maintains that higher temperature while you’re sleeping, then goes back to the starting temperature 8 hours later. If set up on WiFi and paired to the app, you can also set repeating schedules like turning on the unit at 5pm every weekday just before you get home from work so you come home to a cooler room. The app also allows you to check on the unit and change its settings when you’re not within range in which the remote works. The inverter style compressor runs quietly and efficiently to keep your room cool. I am a light sleeper and ran it at night. Between the quiet operation and the lights turning off after inactivity, the unit did not bother my sleep. Units like this are intended to be temporarily used or at most seasonally used. When you no longer need it running regularly, you can take the hoses and panels out of the window and roll the unit away until needed again. The hoses retract easily and the outlet end has hooks that rest on the a/c body to keep them neatly tucked away when not in use. The window panels nest together and slot in on the back of the unit, too, then the cord wraps around the clips. While there is no specific “home” for the remote when not in use, it does rest on top of the air hose end well enough. It would have been nice for the remote to magnetically attach to the side of the a/c unit when not in use, or perhaps have a slot that it slides into. An air conditioner also dehumidifies the air and in doing so, collects water that used to be humidity. That water is stored inside the unit and periodically needs to be emptied. A hose is provided to drain the internal water reservoir but you can optionally attach a standard garden hose and run it outside or to a floor drain. More expensive models have a built-in pump that more easily empties this tank and can push the water up and out, but this one relies on gravity. Good enough but not as good as the higher-end models. Essentially, this GE Profile Portable Air Conditioner is easy to set up, easy to store when not in use, runs cool and quietly, and has some compelling features. A few small improvements could make it even better, but it’s pretty good as-is.

I’ve used a few portable AC units to try to mitigate the heat problem on the second floor of my townhouse for a few years now. Most have done a great job of cooling just the bedroom that it’s in but stop short of the rest of the floor, which 6k-8k BTUs should be enough to cover on most hot days. So far, this GE Profile Smart Portable AC with Inverter Technology has been the only one that has been able to keep a stable and consistent temperature throughout, without pumping up the electric bill that much! The inverter technology is great and is relatively quiet, even on high it’s quiet enough to have a conversation with your partner in bed and get a good night’s sleep. The “TURBO” mode is loud, as expected, but also will cool your room down in a “TURBO” speed! My biggest gripes about this thing are the size, which is almost double the size of our old unit (non-inverter tech 12,000 BTU), and that the window adapter comes about 1.5 pieces shy of being able to fit a sliding door without having to buy an adapter… if you can find one. The two hoses make that a challenge, but not impossible, and even with some MacGyver style rigging (see pictures) it was able to cool the bedroom it’s in to 68°F and the other second floor room to 74°F when the outside temp was 97°F! Very impressive given the other room (my office/bike room/workshop/studio) has a 10ft x 9ft west-facing window that doesn’t open to the outside and is only blocked by a curtain and UV film! The app is nice, easy to set up after you find it in the app store. A QR code in the manual would be a nice touch, but it wasn’t difficult to find. You can take full control of the AC unit from the app once it’s connected to Wi-Fi OR Bluetooth! Nice to have both available and a very nice IR remote control with a backlit screen for the bedside table! All in all, I would definitely recommend the GE Profile Smart Portable Inverter AC to those looking for an efficient air conditioner that can will keep your room at the temperature you set efficiently, effectively, and relatively quietly (barring TURBO use) as long as you have the space for something the size of a bigger mini fridge (the kind that have the frozen pizza size freezers on top). Once it’s set, it’s going to take over and hand everything! Even though it’s listed as being for 450 sq. ft., the 10,000 BTU output punches well above its weight and can manage more, but your mileage may vary from mine. I’d definitely recommend it this to a friend, especially if that friend doesn’t have AC, can’t use “traditional” window unit, or wants to cool a specific area when everywhere else can be cooled by opening the windows to the outside.

The GE Profile Portable Air Conditioner is an excellent product. It's easy to install, has all the features you need, cools effectively, and is probably the quietest portable AC unit that I've experienced. Here's a breakdown of the pros and cons: Pros: - Comes with 5 exhaust plates that fit together to cover any size window. I have an old house that has many window sizes, and the plates can be combined to fit the largest and smallest. This addresses one of the biggest frustrations I have with buying portable units. No more having to fill the gaps left with other materials. - Very quiet operation. With other things going on in the house, I hardly notice that it's on. Although "auto" mode is quiet enough, it also has a "quiet" mode that makes even less noise, although the cooling isn't as effective. It also has a "turbo" mode that can really ramp up the cooling if you need to cool the room down quickly, but the "turbo" mode does get loud and makes a high pitched whirring noise. - Dual hose system for more efficient cooling (I have no basis to verify that this makes it more efficient other than that it really cools effectively and quietly! So probably more efficient...) - Exhaust system storage. The dual exhaust house system conveniently stores right on the back of the unit. Also space for the venting kit panels! - Backlit display turns off saving energy and not having lights on all the time at night. Cons: - Somewhat heavy, but I don't know of a large portable AC unit that isn't. - No remote control storage. This is kind of perplexing with the storage features of the venting kit. The remote is much more likely to get lost then the venting kit, so I'm not sure why they didn't put a place to store it. - While it's nice to have the backlights turn off, you have to not more pressing of buttons because you first have to press a button to wake the unit up. All in all, other than the lack of remote control storage, a virtually flawless portable AC unit. Highly recommend.

The GE Profile Smart Portable AC is a must-have for these hot summer days/nights. The unit is sleekly designed and easy to move thanks to the wheels. The dual hose system works much better than any previously used portable air conditioner unit I’ve had in the past. We have a room with vaulted ceilings, and it does a fantastic job at keeping the room cool when needed, sometimes too good, and I’ve had to adjust the temperature. The setup is quick and simple thanks to the multiple-piece window kit. The kit contains various sizes to fit most windows without the need to cut to size. Installation takes only around 10-15 minutes in my experience. After installation, the rest of the setup process is pretty easy. Connecting to Wi-Fi was simple, but you will need to download the app. The controls for the unit through the app are very minimal. You are able to set schedules and also turn the unit on or off based on your location. The only experience with the unit that was poor was the included remote. It is slow to react to changes made to the unit and sometimes resulted in me having to make multiple adjustments to correct a change that I thought didn’t happen. I tried the other modes (fan and dehumidify) and they work as expected, but probably not utilized since you need a constant drain line for dehumidifier function. That said, I still rate this a 5 out of 5.

An air conditioning system with improvements!

I have used for some years an air conditioner of the same GE brand but with a single hose that exhausts the hot air while cooling the air in the room to expel it and keep the room cool. This air conditioner enhances the experience because of its dual-hose system, bringing in outside air to cool the room and exhausting the hot air from inside to outside at the same time. Undoubtedly, it is one of the improvements that were missing in this type of portable ACs. In the box comes the portable air conditioner, the remote control, the window installation kit, and a user manual. Installation is easy, even easier than the version I used to use, as it has different options for vertical or horizontal installation. It has a backlit display control that is a great help in the dark, although it does not have a compartment to store the control. The device can be controlled either directly with the front panel controls, with the remote control or directly from the phone with the SmartHQ app. I find that while the app leaves a bit to be desired, it is one of the features that make this air conditioner easier to use. Regarding the performance, it efficiently fulfills its function, it cools my room quite well, and keeps it humidity free. The noise it generates is lower compared to other ACs, and at night it is not annoying, something that is appreciated. The front control panel is well illuminated and labeled, as well as the remote control screen, but not the control buttons that don't have backlit. The air conditioner is easy to move and install in different rooms, although the product itself is a little heavy but this is due to the technology it has compared to other air conditioners. The design is similar to previous models with a little more defined lines and contours, does not use too much space, and the color looks good almost anywhere you place it. Due to its automatic evaporation system, it is not necessary to drain the water resulting from the cooling process. Also, it comes with filters that can be washed and reused, which I think is great. In conclusion, this portable AC has the capacity to cool medium sized rooms efficiently, it has a window installation kit that makes it very simple, a remote control with backlit display, the option to connect via Wi-Fi to the phone with the SmartHQ app and the best of all a dual hose system that makes the cooling system faster and more efficient. From someone who comes from using a previous model with a single hose, a noisy motor, a remote control without illumination, and without an evaporation system, I can highly recommend it.

    Excellent Portable AC

The GE Profile Dual Hose portable AC is an excellent option for medium-sized rooms up to 450 square feet. I live in Florida, and cooling is a must. My house has central AC, and sometimes the master bedroom does get that cool, so I got this portable unit.  Also, after hurricanes, storms, or power outages, I always turn on my generator and use a couple of window or portable AC units to cool the house.  With many intense storms and power outages in Florida, it is essential to have a generator and portable Air Conditioners.  What I like about this unit is that it is portable, can be easily rolled to any room, and does an excellent job of cooling. The dual-hose system and inverter technology enable faster and more consistent cooling, while also optimizing energy efficiency. Currently, I use it to cool my master bedroom at night to 71 degrees, which allows me to sleep better, and I haven’t seen a significant spike in my electricity bill.  Depending on the fan speed, it does make some noise, but compared to other portable units, it is not loud. To me, the noise level at low fan speed doesn’t disturb my sleep. With the app and the unit connected to your Wi-Fi, you can enjoy the convenience of remotely controlling the unit and setting on/off schedules. When not in use for an extended period, empty the internal water tank, store the window slides, and secure the power cord using the included buckles on the back of the unit. As a bonus, this unit not only functions as a cooling unit, but it also serves as a fan and a dehumidifier. I haven’t used the dehumidifier mode (Heat Mode). For the dehumidifier/heat mode, the instructional manual indicates that the unit has an internal water tank that needs to be drained when it becomes full. Alternatively, the unit can be continuously drained using a standard hose to a larger container or a floor drain. To conclude, this unit offers performance, innovative features, and portability.

TL:DR - It works, it cools, but takes time to ramp up, and it has some very basic smart features, but I had issues with it blowing fuses and had to adjust how I used it. Not the fault of the machine, just my home electrical which is worth mentioning in my opinion. -The Review- Pros: It cools nicely, comes with a window kit, has an associated app, and a nice remote with a screen on it. It’s super quiet too which is a huge plus. Cons: I thought it was broken at first, but it can take a long time to ramp up the coolant to actually cool. What I mean by that is it’ll just blow the fan for a couple minutes then start cooling. When I first unboxed it, it was concerning that the exhaust tube and plastic ring were separated. It made me very concerned that it was broken during shipping. But turns out it just had to be screwed on which was nice. It’s SUPER heavy! I mainly needed this AC unit for the master bedroom since my room doesn’t have any windows. Instead it has two french doors which is a pain when opened. So my plan was to put it in the master bathroom with an extension cord. It instantly blew the GFCI in my house for the bathrooms. I ultimately ended up buying a 10 gauge extension cord for it to work for awhile. But it ended up blowing the same GFCI. I pivoted to buying an tube extension kit and thankfully it’s the standard 5.9 inch tube, but it still popped my GFCI directly plugged in. It only happened when the AC really got going. This was frustrating for sure, but not the fault of the AC unit. But something to consider when you’re buying this unit. I ended up moving it to my daughter's room which faces the sun during the second half of the day which ended up being a better choice! Not only is it surprisingly quiet, it didn’t blow any fuses in her room and it kept her room really nice and cool. Definitely beating out the summer heat! I like the fact I can use an app to control the unit, but it does get out of sync with the remote when you do that which is kind of frustrating. The remote itself does have really good range which is nice. The app though has this ‘permissions’ page that is super concerning. It makes you feel uncomfortable using the app and connecting it to WiFi more so than anything. But when you actually read it, it seems pretty mundane and routine. Also the app does require an account which isn’t fun, and the app itself is extremely poorly made. Trying to get the firmware updated was a pain in the rear. I hope they put more effort into the app. Lastly - I enjoy the fact it has an ‘evaporator’ in it to try and reduce the need to drain it. I tried to drain it after a week of daily use and there was barely anything in there. Like a paper towel was able to collect the water. No need at all.

Hands down the best portable AC I have gotten. It super welt built and I was surprised at how heavy it is (I needed help to move the box). Thankfully, once out, the unit itself has roller wheels to move it around (they were good enough over hardwood floor, but once I got to my room with carpet, it needed some more effort to roll it around carpet). It comes with all the necessary stuff to install it to any window, either vertical or horizontal ones. Mine is an horizontal sliding one, so window ACs were out of the question. This one allowed me to install it on it on my room where I work (my home has an evap cooler, but my room does require an AC unit since I close my door when working from home). Installing it was easy and I was happy to see it has a dual hose system. If you didn't know this, most cheap portable AC units only have one hose to throw out hot air, and they recirculate your inside air. Not this guy, having two hoses allows it to throw out hot air and also pull in fresh outside air, this is the best. Also another difference with cheaper units, is this one has an inverter, making it more efficient and quieter. Due this, it can adjust the compressor's speed based on need (cheaper non inverter units either run it only at full speed or not). This guy was quieter than any other AC I have used in the past. Granted its not completely silent you will know when its kicking on, but if you have had noisy ones in the past, you will definitely feel the difference. Operating it was easy too, they provide a nice remote control with a huge LCD backlit display (only the display is backlit, I wish the buttons were too, but they are not). If you hook the unit to your Wi-fi network, it can also be operated via their app. I'm mostly using it that way. You can can even set schedules on the app. The AC has several modes and the best one for me is the sleep/silent mode. It will slowly slow down increasing temp slowly (since ambient temp goes down at night), while still cooling but making less noise to let me sleep good. The cool air exhaust has some motorized louvers that open and close when you turn it on or off. Now, there is one thing to keep in mind, since these units are not window mounted, they don't have a way to dump away any water condensation, so you have to throw away some water from time to time when the reservoir gets full. However this unit has an evaporator built in, so that should not happen that often. I have been using it for a while and I have not need to throw water away so far. It has a hose included to make it easy to drain it when needed, if any. It has a built in dehumidifier too. If you are looking for an efficient, quiet and easy to operate portable unit, get this one!

AC is truly amazing, once you go a few days without it when it gets warm out it’s hard not to give any AC a 5 star review unless it just doesn’t work. That being said expectations on not working can be key and there are few features that really make a difference and bring this AC to the next level compared to others. The room it is in is closer to 450 sq feet and it still cools it quite nicely. The dual tube is a little annoying to set up and look at but for how much better it seems to cool things, it is worth it. I didn’t even install the squishy stuff as I hate how much that sticks to the window sills and then makes them super hard to close once winter hits and the AC is no longer needed so you sit there for an hour with alcohol getting all the sticky stuff off and then it’s gone the next year anyway (we don’t need year round cooling here). I also love how slim it is which is even more impressive that it cools better than the other two we have around the house. If you think this will cool your entire house, you either have a very small house or need to rethink your plan. The best plan is to choose which rooms will be cool or spread several around the house at key locations. The app setup was easy and works great, the scheduling is key for starting the room cooling on the way home versus needing to have it running all day long or waiting until you get home to turn it on. Technically with the app you don’t need the scheduling… but it is way easier not having to remember. It does make it hard not to want to replace the other ACs as those aren’t smart and a smart AC is really useful. This hits on everything I want out of an AC, it cools excellently, I can control it with my phone, it has automation features (including Geo location but traffic makes that impossible for me to use effectively), and it is decently slim.

It's been a breeze using this GE portable air conditioner unit! I have central air in my house but in order to cool my upstairs bedroom that gets full on sunlight all day long, the main AC had to run like crazy and in the hotter days's it will shut off before it will get comfortable enough, so here this Portable AC unit from GE came in handy! It is a powerful and effective way to achieve confort in a bedroom or even a small garage. The unit is smart/ wifi capable that gives the flexibility of being controlled while away. Even though it came with a remote my only way to control it is thru the App is very facile! Easy to relocate thanks to the rollers that do a good job even on a carpeted floor. The window installation kit was easy to work with and i love the fact that for the Cooling it has auto evaporation for the condensed water just one less thing to worry about. I didn't used the dehumidifier function yet but for that you need to drain the extracted water in a pan or something. I think it does what it supposed to do and i found it to cool any space super fast! I understand in the beginning might get a little loud the vibration but that's just when the compressor it's on it's highest load and you have to think the whole components sit inside oppose to the one that hangs in the window!

I absolutely love this GE Profile 10,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner! It cools my 450 sq. ft. space quickly and evenly, even on the hottest days. The inverter technology is a game-changer—super energy-efficient and whisper quiet compared to other units I’ve owned. I also appreciate the sleek white design that blends in nicely with my decor. The smart features are a huge bonus. I can control the temperature and schedule everything right from my phone, which is incredibly convenient. Setup was easy, and the built-in hose and window kit made installation a breeze. Overall, this unit exceeded my expectations in both performance and design. If you’re looking for a powerful, quiet, and smart portable AC, this is it!

Good Portable AC for Living Rooms or Large Bedroom

I currently live in a 3500 sqft house with central air, but noticed one of the rooms were warmer than the rest. I only needed to cool down this room periodically, and did not want to use a window air conditioner. This 10,000 BTU GE portable air conditioner with inverter technology seemed to fit that need. Setup Before using the AC, I left the unit upright for about a day to make sure the refrigerant drained back to the bottom. The set up was pretty easy and only took about 10 minutes to unpack and get the window ready. I already had the GE app, SmartHQ, installed since I own other smart GE appliances and was able to update the unit within 10 minutes. The app was pretty basic, but it did allow controlling the AC from the phone. Noise/Vibration GE claims a low level of noise at just 42dB, but my unit was registering 52 at the quietest setting and 58 on turbo. I tested the decibels from about 3 feet away, with the outside temp over 80 degrees, and the AC unit set to 67 degrees. Even though the AC was louder than it claims, it was still very quiet in comparison to most fans on high. This AC did not seem to vibrate the carpeted floor, however I could feel the vibration through our bed. The vibration was enough to bother my wife, but I didn’t notice it until she pointed it out. Draining I have a dehumidifier for my house, but was still expecting to drain the water every couple of days. However, the AC is still cooling, after a few weeks of use, without needing to be empty. I just wish there was an indicator to track when I need to do this. I have not been able to test this, but the unit is supposed to shut down if it needs to be drained. So far, I have been impressed with this portable AC. It seems to work well without a lot of noise or needing water to be emptied. I would recommend this portable AC for a living room or large bedroom needing extra cooling.

The GE Profile portable AC is perfect to cool particular rooms in the house while saving money on your electric bill. I have central AC in my house but love to sleep in cooler temps in my bedroom. Instead of chilling the entire house, I can target specific rooms with this portable unit to ultimately have the temps I want and to save money. Setup was relatively easy. I had it unboxed and set up within 20 minutes. That includes setting up the window opening adaptors for the intake and exhaust hoses. There are multiple fan speeds to choose from but I’m fine on leaving it on “auto” mode. This unit doesn’t have heat but does cool, fan and dehumidify mode. The included remote is a nice addition so I can easily turn it on and change settings from my chair or bed. The remote has a basic LCD screen that shows what settings you have on but it doesn’t sync with the actual unit if you made direct changes on the AC unit itself. If you changed temps on the AC, your remote won’t reflect the new changes. A little annoying, especially if you powered on the AC and want to turn off the AC with your remote. The portable AC does have an app that you can connect to your phone. This allows you to mimic the physical remote or adjust schedules and settings while you are away from home. The app is not needed and just a “nice to have” feature. Cooling is very quick, especially for a size of the bedroom. Cooling an entire floor might be a different story as these portable AC units are really geared for rooms. What I love about this portable AC unit is that there is nearly nothing to the install process. Adjust the window adaptor to accept the air hoses and you’re good to go. Quickly cools a medium sized room and is portable with the wheels on the bottom.

My central ac died during a heat wave and I got this unit to have some sort of ac in the house and because it was the strongest available near me. I was shocked at how ready out of the box it was. The window mount had more then enough pieces to fit my windows, the intake outake tubes are long enough to fit into higher window frames, and the remote and app make it easy to control from afar. It’s also pretty good at cooling a large sized room when its only rated for a medium sized one. Its not too noisy, either. All in all it was a great lifesaver while I waited for my central air to be fixed and will be staying with me for emergies if the central ac blows again. If you want an emergency backup, or dont/can’t do a window unit, this is a great unit and it will serve you well.
