Love the capacity, as wellas the auto dispense function... keeps my teenage daughter from using 6 cups of soap per load. So far a great washer that luves up to the hype.

I have noticed that the pedestal affects the sound of the spin cycle so just keep the drawer shut. Make sure it is level and secure

The clothes were cleaner and the spin cycle definitely cut down on drying time. Unfortunately, after less than two years, the drum stopped rotating. A few days earlier, the matching dryer started overheating to the point that I had to stop using it for fear of fire. I am now waiting for parts and repairs that are very costly. Warranty is extremely short.

The auto dispenser for detergent leaves a lot to be desired. It always puts too little soap in the load so I can't use that particular feature. I had service come out and they couldn't find anything wrong and suggested I used the wrong soap and had clogged it.

Posted .While we’re glad you like the washer overall, we hate to hear you’ve had trouble with the dispenser. The SmartDispense will automatically add detergent after sensing the load, and the feature can be adjusted to dose more or less detergent; you may want to make sure it’s not set to dose less. The dispenser having a clog could cause it to dispense incorrectly. We recommend cleaning that area monthly, and if it may be helpful we have details on cleaning the dispenser drawer area on page 21 of the manual. (You can view the manual online on our GE Appliances website, when you look up the model number and go to the product page.) The manual also has additional troubleshooting details regarding the dispenser on page 34. If you continue to have trouble, you’re welcome to send us a private message over our GE Appliances social media (such as Instagram or Facebook) with any confirmation number you have from service and/or your contact information. We’re always glad to assist.
