Auto makes it turn on and off automatically but my temperatures in the basement is usually fluctuating a lot so I turned it on and off manually. Regardless works great

Also one in the master bedroom. I can now enjoy the theatre in cool comfort. This thing does heat to so that will be there for winter. My main ac does not always cut it and one time a capacitor went out. So now I have a backup in the master. That time without ac not fun. Now I have peace of mind. I almost got another for downstairs but they sold out. As my main ac cant keep up with this heat. The main ac does both upstairs and down stairs. Now in master anytime I want it cooler i have it. Also a backup if all goes south. Plus comfort in the theatre. Wish I knew about it sooner. Definitely get a unit dual hose and with ac and heat. Install was easy once you figure it out. The smart features and alexa voice commands makes it even better. Very pleased and I would highly recommend.

Great with one drawback
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So far its an amazing AC, pretty quiet, app is easy to setup and use and the cooling is awesome. However, there is some sort of electrical faint whining noise coming from the back of the unit which initially didnt bother me but its slowly getting there. That would be the only drawback of this AC is that very slight, faint noise coming from the AC no matter the mode.
