Customers recognize the Advantium 27" oven's ease of use as a significant advantage, with many praising its user-friendly functionality. However, a recurring concern involves the oven door's design and durability, with some experiencing malfunctions and high repair costs. The clock's functionality, or lack thereof, also drew criticism from some users. Overall, opinions are divided between ease of use and concerns about the oven door and clock features.

Received 2 weeks ago.. clean lines, replaces a lesser GE countertop that had been installed as a built in with the framing that blew up on Jan. 2nd. Matches the GE oven underneath. Quite a few features on this and will take time to really know their worth. Have used the convection oven already and really like it over my standard GE oven that takes forever to heat up. Lots to dissect as the many aspects of "Advantium" cooking seem overwhelming and not sure I'd prefer using it over other cooking techniques. Swapping out the bottom carousel glass/metal depending on cooking type will end up being more of a hassle I think than it's worth. Definitely would prefer the oven door to swing out, than down. Makes things harder to reach especially when using the included wire stand/rack, and very difficult to clean the back wall inside. And for goodness sake, not having the clock stay on is ludicrous. It looks like it's broken or something with no display lit. I don't care what California crazy energy ordinance forces this upon GE... but you do realize using the convection micowave for an hour probably uses up more energy than the clock would for 10 years.... Geeze! At least my GE oven display underneath has a clock.. hope they don't make me send it in for service to disable it. ;-)

    Avoid, parts become obsolete quickly

We had high hopes for this oven. The price tag was hard to swallow, but if it worked and lasted it would be worth it. Unfortunately, the oven door crapped out after a couple of years and had to be manually pushed shut every time you used it. The estimate for a new door was about $1500! They couldn't replace just the spring or the hinge....stupid design. So we decided to wait. Then a year went by and the entire oven crapped out and stopped working -- no lights or anything. We bought a countertop microwave to use in the meantime. I called a company to service it a few weeks ago, and they were able to replace a couple of boards inside to allow it to work again, but they also said it might not last because the door is still not fixed--it CAN'T be fixed because GE no longer supplies that door. So we basically have a $4000 (after repairs) piece of junk. We also installed other GE appliances, but I'm now waiting for those to die too. If they do die, I'll bet the parts are not available anymore. The quality control is horrible and the service non-existant. I would never buy a GE appliance again, which is sad because we thought they were a good company. We purchased in Nov. 2017 and installed in April 2018, so the oven is only 6 years old, and the last two years it has been unusable. I would think for $3100 it would last a lifetime, or at least as long as we would be in this house. Bottom line: avoid GE like the plague.
