My current apartment does not have an ice maker and took the opportunity to purchase this. It's easy to clean and operate. The nuggets are consistent and make any drink delicious!

Bought this for work & I have been so happy with it! The entire staff comes over to get “the good ice.”Super easy to set up, clean & fill, plus tank makes it very easy to track when to refill. I’d definitely buy again & recommend to anyone looking for “the good ice”.

After reading reviews of the newer GE models, I purchased this older model from BB and it is amazing. Have had it for a few weeks and makes great pebble ice. We have it on during the day and take the ice leftover over store in a ziplock bag in the freezer for future use. Purchased the extended warranty should this model kick the bucket over the next four years.

A little big for the counter top but it makes lots of ice.

We bought this ice maker and love it. We have 5 people getting ice everyday and we have never had to wait for ice, ever!! It’s easy to work and fill up with water and we have had no problems with anything.

Bought this in July and have used it almost everyday since. It is always plugged in and on. Easy to set up. Love the size of the ice.

THIS ICE MACHINE IS SO QUIET AND PRODUCES AND HOLDS A GOOD QUANTITY OF ICE. IT'S ON THE LARGER SIZE AND DOES NOT FIT ON OUR COUNTER BUT LUCKILY, WE HAD ANOTHER SPOT TO PUT IT.

This ice maker is awesome. It works perfectly and makes ice fast. The only issue that it is pretty noisy.

I love my GE Opal 1.0 Nugget Ice Maker! The ice is perfect — soft, chewable, and makes every drink taste better. It produces ice quickly and keeps up well with daily use. The only downside is the cleaning process. The cleaning cycle doesn’t really seem to do much, and it still requires a lot of manual scrubbing to keep it fresh. Overall though, the ice quality makes it worth it, I just wish the cleaning was easier.

The machine makes perfect ice! I really like the extra water compartment because it prevents us from having to add water as often and we do not have to lift the ice basket out. It runs fairly quiet. I have been running the cleaning cycle monthly.

After much scrutiny, I decided on this maker. Glad I did. This replaced a small ice maker that I purchased from Best Buy, that didn't last a year. This makes lots of nice sized ice, like Sonics ice, and keeps the bin full. I have the exterior tank hooked up so I always have ice and only have to refill the water every few days. It was fairly easy to set up the outer tank after you figure out the directions for the hose. It has the cleaning button, and it cleans itself. However,it doesn't hurt to take it apart and give it a good cleaning every now and the, depending on your water. I use purified water out of my Brita to make ice since it doesn't have a filter that I'm aware of. Overall, well worth what it cost.

Works good and makes ice very quickly. The only reason I don't give 5* is because when it's making ice it's very noisy. Once it finishes it's silent.

This little GE Profile-Opal 1.0 Nugget Ice Maker is everyone's dream if you like nugget ice in your home. We can fill our thermoses every morning and the ice lasts long into the afternoon, with some of it never melting if your cup or thermos is insulated. We thought it was too expensive when we saw the price, but we wouldn't change a thing now! It stays much colder than regular ice cubes. :)

Love it. Keeps up with my house hold. I like that it came with the stand alone tank. Keeps you from fill every day. May get another to put in my camper.

My wife uses the refrigerator ice maker only for smoothies! Great Buy. Easy to clean. Use distilled water to minimize problems. Lemonade, sweet tea, Arnold Palmer …

Been a great unit so far... little heavy and bulky but its not as loud as the Insignia one we had and makes ice faster
