Works great love the ice low maintenance great units

Machine has its flaws sometimes. On my third machine but still the best out in the market in my opinion

I LOVE this ice maker, but it stopped making ice after just 2 months. It says to "add water", but it clearly is filled with water. I'm on hold with GE now. I'm sure they will rectify the situation.

Is a good machine. It could be a bit less noisy will be great

I wanted to wait a full month before reviewing the product. got extended warranty because some reviews made me nervous and the item is costly. bulky item, but so far love the product and love pebble ice so much. it’s been a great addition for the summer. I worry how much we could possibly use it in the winter. but guess we will see. but right now while it’s warm out, it’s been a game changer. my boyfriend and I use it every day. we use distilled water. sure I guess the sanitize weekly thing is a little time consuming, but worth it.

The ice is great and that's about it. The machine requires sanitizing weekly, which requires you to take the entire machine apart, move it to a sink and flush bleach thru it. And then it requires descaling once a month - every time you put the machine back together it'll throw an "Add Water" issue. The machine is overpriced and a hassle. Returning it is a nightmare as you only have 2-weeks and you better have all the boxes, Styrofoam, etc. Honestly I've never regretted purchasing something more in my life.

This is our third ice maker and no. 2 from GE. Last one died from the discharge cone motor dying. The new filter should help with scale build up and it has better reminders for sanitizing and descaling. The fan in the back is bigger and louder.

After a couple of months the ice maker started making a squealing noise. Other people in reviews have mentioned this as well. We descaled the unit and the noise went away. It works great and I’m extremely happy with the purchase. Just understand ahead of time that you will have to clean it every couple of months.

This icemaker was purchased after a smaller countertop one died. I've had this a week and LOVE it. It makes the best ice and the water take is a game changer. I like that there is an app to remind me to clean it. The tray opens and tilts out, so you can hold your cup and scoop your ice without worrying that the tray is going to fall. Also, the magnetic scoop holder is genius. This was more expensive than my first icemaker but well worth the investment.

Great buy! Easy to set up and no issues so far. It is not noisy, functions perfectly and makes great ice.

The Opal 2 ultra is an improvement over the older Opal 2. Still not overly quiet but it is on par with ice machines so buyer beware you are getting what you are paying for. The ice is slightly less dense, but this is actually nicer for people who like to chew the ice and if you don't why are you spending or thinking of spending this kind of money on a specialty ice machine. Overall, I love it and well worth the money. The cleaning schedule is a necessary evil, so if you don't want to clean it, get a different type of ice machine.

Amazing product that kept continually kept the ice flowing when our fridge malfunctioned! Would highly recommend this product to anyone in the market for a great ice machine!

I really enjoyed this product once and awhile you get a product that is better than advertised and this ice maker is that quite simply put. It has been a great ice maker clean and efficient as advertised. There has been no issue since I purchased it months ago I followed manufacturers guidelines and off it went working … can I get please get refrigerator that works this well with built ice maker.

Great ice. We've owned three of them. My only complaint is they only last a couple of years before they need to be replaced.

Bought this for my wife for Christmas. She's always wanted a nugget ice maker. This one is awesome and well built. Loads of capacity and makes ice fast. Cleaning process isn't too hard and keeps ice nice and fresh tasting. We love the light and the extra storage tank is super easy to fill. The magnetically attached scoop holder and scoop can be placed anywhere on the side of the unit. Love this thing!

This is a great ice maker. It looks good and makes high quality ice. Runs smoothly and the ice is perfect!

I love this ice maker. It makes the best chewable nugget ice out there. But keep in mind it comes at a price, be prepared for routine cleaning of your machine to keep it performing at its peak. To me it’s worth the time and effort because I like to eat a lot of ice. This is my second GE Opal and I highly recommend it!

Love the opal ice machine. I had one of the originals and when it stopped making ice regularly I purchased another one. I use this machine all day and it does great at keeping up with my ice addiction.

Works great. Love it!! You will have ice in less then 15 minutes. Only down side is that is is a bit noisy

Makes amazing nugget ice. Very easy to clean. The side tank is a amazing. Very high quality machine. Would give 6 stars if I could.
