Great ice maker! I have a smaller ice maker in my basement but this one i have in my kitchen. It makes ice so much quicker and i love the size of small chunks it makes. Its a little loud at times but not always. Definitely recommend this item.

Very expensive and quite heavy to move around the counter. If you like nugget ice this will fit the bill. I am using Primo bottled water out of a machine (RO), so hopefully the required maintenance will not be as gruesome as others have noted. I do like iced coffee in the warm months and nugget ice is not appropriate. Melts instantly. Only been used about a dozen times, but so far so good. I would reconsider spending the $$$.

I love this ice maker… it was the only thing I wanted for my birthday. It’s the good ice for sure. I only use geyser spring water and the ice OMG… taste so good. It’s worth the money. Best investment thus far. I would say the cleaning is somewhat time consuming but I haven’t done my first deep clean or scale clean since I’ve only had it for a month. I would recommend this product.

It functions well, with the exception of periodically it makes the "whining" noise. Based on research this ice maker makes that noise when the ice gets jammed up in the despenser. This would be the second one that I'm going to take back, due I can't take the whining noise and having to shut it off so the ice can defrost and turning it back on.

One of our basic must have appliances now. No need for freezer icemaker esp thru the door which always has problems. Also that you don't have to collect and move the ice out like other portable ice makers. Had first model for 2 1_/2 years. Replaced after first one died Be sure to buy B Buy warranty.

I have had to return two of these a year apart. I am not sure what is malfunctioning but up until then they were great. If you purchase I would most definitely get the warranty.

works good but it seems like every week it needs to be sanitized which can get to be a little annoying but it's nice to have ice when you need it I don't know though

It's the best ice ever! The only con would be that there is a lot of cleaning maintenance with sanitizing and descaling, which is needed for the machine's longevity.

The GE Profile Opal 2.0 Ultra Nugget Ice Maker works well and produces nugget ice in a reasonable time frame. The key is to start the ice maker about an hour before to allow for production.

I love this ice maker the only problem is, even if you clean it on the regular, after several months it starts to moan. The new version has a filter but you have to replace it every few months

So far this has been fairly easy to use and the ice is great. The machine lets us know when it is time to sanitize which is a big help.

Great little ice maker. I love the nugget ice. Makes ice quickly. There is regular maintenance but very easy to do and it keeps the ice tasting fresh. I always use distilled water in the ice maker. The app keeps you up on the maintenance which is convenient. I highly recommend this nugget ice maker.

Great Machine!! East to set up and makes ice very quickly!

The ice is great and that's about it. The machine requires sanitizing weekly, which requires you to take the entire machine apart, move it to a sink and flush bleach thru it. And then it requires descaling once a month - every time you put the machine back together it'll throw an "Add Water" issue. The machine is overpriced and a hassle. Returning it is a nightmare as you only have 2-weeks and you better have all the boxes, Styrofoam, etc. Honestly I've never regretted purchasing something more in my life.

So we bought one, got it home and was excited about using it, well it leaked water from the bottom, water came out where the screws are on the bottom so we took it back and got another one just like it. We were still excited about using the second one. We got it set up and tried it out and no water leaks, andit was making ice.We thought, this is great! Then it started making a really loud squealing noise a couple hours later. We turned it off, unplugged it and set it up again, we tried working with it for a few day and it would always start squealing so we took it back. We are so disappointed because we really loved the one our son has. I would upload a video with the noise it made but it's not giving me the option.

We were so tired of always having to drive to our favorite gas station for crushed ice. We finally made the decision to get our own. We are loving it! Sure, some of the maintenance might be a bit much, but saving us from having to drive in to town makes it all worth it!

Run and buy this ice maker!! The nugget ice is the best!! We couldn't decide which ice maker to buy but im extremely happy we decided for this one. Very quiet always has ice ready. One of the best parts is we can control it with our phone so when we get home from a hot day the ice is ready to have a refreshing drink.
