We purchased this microwave to replace one that has been in use over 20 years now. The reason for this particular microwave is that all of our appliances are the GE Profile line and we needed the microwave to fit into the built in space where the old one was. Right out of the box, the button to open the door did not work. Even after exercising it many times, it did not make any difference. My husband ultimately put in small bumper pads at the top of the door which allowed the mechanism to operate. A second item of note is that the pre-programmed buttons don't seem to work very well. The popcorn setting in particular doesn't sense the steam and burns the popcorn. Our complaint is simple... why change from the old design, when it just worked? We changed out as many parts as we could to keep our old one going and at some point the parts were outpricing a new model but it's disappointing that the new model is not as good as the old. We still have a short window in which to decide if it needs to go back, so we will be making a decision soon.

Product very badly packed. Glass turntable not secure and put small dip in front inside panel that is noticeable. I bought as recently opened, but BB didn’t pack turntable correctly in the foam.

It's just what we needed, fits the space perfectly, its quiet and gets the job done.

Replacement for an older GE microwave, it's a bit larger so have to deepen the cupboard. Also doesn't seem as powerful, I have a temporary counter top from target, it takes 90 seconds to heat a breakfast sandwich, this one takes 2 minutes.

This GE is basically the only microwave with short and shallow dimensions for special or existing cabinet requirements, and has been for many years. Therefore it is overpriced relative to its other capabilities. But it works fine and has the features we need, so we buy one every 5 or so years.

With only 800 watts , it take a while for your food to get hot. I don't use it for cooking much .It is satisfactory for my use. The older model I had ,seem to work better.

Initially when I just put this on my microwave cart it sounded louder than my old microwave, which had been the same model from GE. I put a 1.5 inch round rubber furniture caster cup under each foot and the noise disappeared. (I bought these on Amazon for $10.) The cup also prevents the microwave from sliding. (The microwave's feet are short and metal which I think is due to the fact that the microwave is designed to also be used inside an enclosure. ) I have been very satisfied with this microwave, and would definitely buy again. The controls work fine, and it does everything that I want it to do. I have not found the screen to be hard to read and I don't have great vision.

needed this microwave to replace one that quit. Best Buy staff were terrific in locating it so we didn't have to re-do the carpentry work housing it. Microwave is low power but fits!

We had an old spacesaver microwave that was built in to our cabinets, and after 20 years it died. Unfortunately this microwave is the only one made that comes close to the dimensions of the old one. Since we didn't want to redo all of our cabinets, we were kind of forced to buy this one. The first one received starting making a very loud clicking noise after about a week. We exchanged it for another one, and luckily have had the new one installed for a little over a month and so far is working good. I like the look of the microwave, and it seems to be working fine, but very expensive for what it is. The door is made of plastic and seems a bit flimsy, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that this microwave will last a while.

Purchase the Open box - No problems, works fine and no Dent that i can see price was good too

This GE microwave is sleek and operates very quietly.

Seemingly hasn’t changed in twenty years….which on one hand was great in that it fit the built in space but price has gone up, weighs a lot less (more plastic) and really doesn’t do anything new or better than the one that died. If you are not constrained by space there are microwaves with more features, more interior space for less money.

High powered, cooks quickly. Good replacement for my old GE profile spacemaker 2 microwave in terms of size - fits into the old cutout, slightly wider than the spacemaker 2.

The microwave is quite shallow. It's just deep enough to accommodate the turntable. It's only 800 watts. Unfortunately for me, this is the only model that will fit my cabinet. I think GE knows this and has priced it far higher than it should be. My last microwave lasted 23 years. I hope this one is built to last.

Perfect size for on the counter convenience! No reaching up with heavy casseroles above your stovetop anymore! Many options for cooking and defrosting and reheating your favorite leftovers! The dish is turning inside while cooking for even heating. Very nice!

We had to replace a 2005 version of this GE Profile, under- the- counter microwave oven. While we like the microwave, the installation took much longer than anticipated due to slight changes in the mounting lay-out. It is not a cheap microwave, and we hope it has the same longevity as the last one.

It was time to replace our old one from when we remodeled the kitchen. Trying to get one as close to that, this GE profile series is the best. I had to learn where the functions were again but it works perfect for our needs and looks great too..

Perfect size for the existing cabinet space in my kitchen. This was very hard to find. It took me 6 months to find one that fit. Works wonderfully.

We were looking for a sleek microwave for what seemed like ages that would fit our box space for the microwave. Lo and behold we tried out this model and it works and fits perfectly! It's pretty quiet and looks great with our stainless kitchen.
