Definitely the best purchase I have ever made for my kitchen. The GE Indoor Smoker may be smaller than most traditional outdoor smokers but it does a better job of smoking meat than any other smoker I've worked with. Additionally, I find I go through far less pellets with this than I do on my Traeger, yet I achieve better overall results with this than my Traeger. I highly recommend this to anybody who wants an efficient, and easy smoker that's convenient to use. Before I had this smoker I would smoke something 2-3 times per month, now I use this 2-3 times per week and it gets more use than even my stove. 10/10 rating for me.

This isn’t your average smoker so I won’t knock the rating down. For what it is, it does a fantastic job. I have cooked both brisket and pork butt with this and each cook has turned out phenomenal. I would say this machine produces maybe 60-70% of the smoke flavor I would get from a high end bbq joint here in Texas. The ability to smoke indoors safely and track my cook via an app is what makes this device worth it. There’s no hassle or time consuming management of a live fire and the product is still really good.

Best pellet smoker buy I've made. This gives better flavor than any outdoor pellet smoker I've used (except for when I add an external cold smoker to those units). This is by far way easier to clean then outdoor pellet smokers also. I use jealous Devil Jax wood pellets 50/50 mixed with charcoal pellets with everything, and the flavor is close to an offset. I put up a picture of a small brisket in the unit so people can see the bark on it.

One of the best small kitchen appliances I have ever owned. Very easy to setup and use. Season protein, set parameters and let it work. Great flavor of smoke on fish, beef and chicken thus far. Using available disposable drip pans makes cleanup a breeze. Purchased Kona pellet multi-pack for variety of smoke flavors. The height dimension makes it not recommend for use on counter under cabinets due to heat in close proximity but on island works just fine. Would recommend to anyone who also lives in residences where outdoor smoker is prohibited or challenge due to regional weather. Great product, you should buy it.

Genuinely surprised by how simple and effective this is. So far I’ve made brisket, ribs, chicken thighs, and chorizo. All have turned out very good to great and friends seem to love the results as well. Cleanup also a breeze as the racks are dishwasher safe. Im still not sure where the smoke goes but as long as it keeps making ridiculously good smoked meats I dont much care.

Purchased this item because we live in a community where open flames (grills/smokers/fire pits) are not allowed. I’ve smoked brisket, ribs and a turkey breast so far and they all came out great. There is a smoke scent in the house when it’s operating but no smoke at all. Cleans up easily (ricks & drip pan in the dishwasher, wipe out the interior). It’s 20” deep so it takes up some counter space but I would highly recommend as an alternative to outdoor grilling. And Best Buy Total membership got me $300 off the regular (Amazon) price along with one year of coverage.

The GE Profile indoor smoker is incredible from cooking to smoke flavor on food, easy to use. I highly recommend this product especially if you're living in apartments with no patio and want that bbq smokey flavor.

First cook was a spatchcocked whole chicken using the pellets that came with the smoker (sorry, no pic). While there was absolutely no smoke from the unit, the air that the unit outputs clearly smells of smoke. However, the cook was only one hour and twenty minutes, so the smoke smell was tolerable. Our second cook was a 3.5lb brisket, smoked for four hours, and then rested for 3 more hours. During the smoking of the brisket, the smell of smoke coming out of the smoker was much more pungent than it was with the chicken. It literally got to the point that our eyes and sinuses were burning while we sat in the other room watching TV. We definitely do not have a small kitchen, but our house is an open floor plan, so the smell is not just confined to one area. Im not sure how other users are not noting the smoke smell. Its not a bbq smell, its literally the smell of camp fire and burning pellets. The smoke smell dissipated from the house within 24 hours completely however. The food did come out excellent, but the significant smell of smoke, and the burning of our eyes and sinuses, are the reason for the reduction in star rating. Im not sure if the filtration on our unit is under performing/faulty, but we literally debated on returning the product, or just moving it to the basement or garage when using in the future. So while its technically “smokeless”, it still SMELLS significantly like campfire smoke. We plan on reaching out to GE for assistance. We recommendation opinion is tough…. Its an expensive device in general, but its not out of whack when looking at the price of traditional smokers. The food came out great and its wonderful to use it without any regard to the weather. The build quality is excellent and the software is great. The only downfall for us is the smell. So its a recommended buy if you can deal with that, but its a recommended not buy if you plan to put it in a main area of your home, or if you might be sensitive to the smell of camp fire. We plan to use it in the basement going forward, but wish we didnt have to.

This indoor electric smoker delivers outstanding flavor on par with a traditional smoker. Its filtration system effectively minimizes smoke to avoid triggering air purifiers, though the aroma will still spread throughout the area. For apartment living or anywhere an outdoor smoker isn’t an option, I highly recommend it.

Awesome appliance, nice to smoke indoors during the winter. Wish it was a little bigger but if it was it probably wouldn't be a countertop appliance. Good smoke, easy clean up.

I've kept my eye on this product since it came out in CES and went it went on sale I jumped on it. It's so unique and relatively easy yo use. The smoke meats are delicious as I've tried brisket and it cooks it beautifully. Does it completely replace a Texas backyard smoker - of course not. But the chance to smoke meats indoors, or in my case in the garage, is amazing. I am happy with my purchase and will definitely make more with this.

I’ve only had a it short time, but it has done an impressive job thus far - both in terms of flavor and smoke mitigation. Time will tell with future cooks, but it has definitely added a pronounced smoke flavor on what I’ve made to date. My only question going forward would be how it holds up to long term use, as the filtration system and gaskets are vital to its successful use. I am also pleased that it doesn’t take up too much space. While I have it on a cart, it would easily fit on my counter. I gave it a 4/5 for value, as it was on an introductory sale when I purchased it.

This thing is pretty cool, it's not quite turn it on and leave it alone, there's still some of the midway work that you do with traditional barbecue. Wrapping it and whatnot. Being able to separate your smoke level from your temperature let's you get some incredible results. My units light button was messed up out of the box. It's definitely an expensive appliance, so I might exchange it. It's a purely cosmetic defect. I wish we could post videos, the ribs are quite literally fall off the bone tender.

I've never smoked meat before and i do tons of venison. Jerky, meat sticks, burger and summer sausage. I bought this to see if i would like smoking and i love it. I've smoked 18 pounds of wings already and this will be a game changer for venison.

I love this product. It has been great to use since I've moved into an apartment. Great for anyone like me who longs to BBQ but can't because of your living situation. I highly recommend this item for those who love BBQ and miss being behind a grill. It's definitely a worry free experience without all the outdoor grilling worries.

I have smoked on this 3 times. Each time the food came out great. I only rotated the turkey legs. Looking forward to smoking weekly now. I am a little concerned about the back of the appliance becoming discolored.

I’ve used this 3 times so far — brisket, turkey breast and ribs. All pretty good but still experimenting especially on brisket to get it right. Really an amazing product. Unsure on accuracy or probe but am testing. Great bark and nice smoke flavor.
