For a brand new dishwasher, I would think that my dishes would come out clean. Many times they still have food on them, and I rinse my dishes before washing them! Also the cleaning pod does not always dissolve and leaves residue in the compartment.

The interior space is very good. I give it 3 stars because it was supposed to be a “quiet” unit, but it makes a very annoying high frequency noise during normal wash cycle which I was told it is normal by Best Buy. I’m sure my dog is not happy with that.

GE Dishwasher Door Latch issue

We sent it back and exchanged it for another one; same model. The second one arrived and we installed it. Everything was level. Within a day or two after using it, the door would not latch. It would pop open numerous times before it finally latched and stayed closed. Occasionally it pops open when in mid-cycle. This has been ongoing for several months now. We are having a service technician come out to try to fix it, possibly replace the latch. We are beyond frustrated and disappointed in this dishwasher as we expect better quality in a brand new appliance.

The only reason we bought a new dishwasher is because we are remodeling our kitchen and wanted the stainless features!

Not only is the very poor design a terrible fit for dishes, after only 6 months of once-per-week usage, it required a service call. First attempt to run it after the service call it failed exactly the same way; fills, does nothing, then drains. Do not buy this appliance! Also, there is no inside light as specified in the description.
