My requirements in a new washer were pretty simple: quiet, versatile, powerful, and big. This washer has satisfied every requirement. The built in riser brings it to a perfect height without spending money on a catch all drawer below. It is large enough to do a queen comforter plus sheets, and do them well. My old washer would bang around and shake, this one vibrates for a second then suddenly stops but for a gentle hum, it really is shocking the first time it starts up. The stain removal guide is fantastic, I washed a pair of jeans and a white shirt that had grass all over them from weed whacking. They both came out without a tinge of green. Definitely consider this washer, you will not be disappointed!

The right height is a great description for it certainly is the right height for easy loading and unloading. It runs so quietly you hardly know it is washing your clothes. Easy to operate, user friendly and gets clothes thoroughly clean. The rinse and spin works so well that it cuts down on the drying time.

We bought this machine in March 2017. The bearings have been going out over the past few weeks - it sounds like an airplane is taking off in our laundry room with a terrible knocking during the spin cycle. Before we noticed this problem, I had been noticing the clothes were not getting as clean as I like. It has also always leaked. It was so minor at first, we just ignored it, but over two years it became significant. I guess I just expected better from a new machine.

Got this on an open box, very nice, top of line, quiet and works well so far.

This washer is work i g great so far. Don't like to have get on flooor to drain and get lent out.

The new model are oversized but the performance is outstanding

Let me begin by saying we love this washer. But, we do wish it had more features.. most importantly an alert feature to let us know on our phones when it is finished. I can't tell you how many times we have to re-run a load of wash because we didn't hear the finished alarm. overall its good and it does what it's supposed to which is wash our clothes. . Love the color. . looks great in person. .

Does a nice job. lots of wash choices. Love designing my own cycle.

I purchased this washer and dryer set less than 3 years ago and have had complaints about its operation for most of that time. I figured I would just have to deal with it's quirks and eventually we would figure out how to use it properly. Boy was I wrong! The dispenser tray would not fully empty on every cycle and there were so many times that there would be water everywhere when opening it that we had to start keeping a towel on the floor in front of the machine to stop a mess. The cycles wouldn't always complete and we would have to stop the washer after it was displaying 13 minutes remaining for well over 30 minutes. The clothes would be actually ready to come out but unless you checked it would just keep running. Now the spin cycle started making a horribly loud noise and I had to have a repair technician come out. He tells me the drum support is defective and it's over $700 to repair. Of course the machine's "10 year warranty" only covers the motor after one year. So now I have a less than 3 year old machine that I need to replace because fixing it would be almost as much as a new one. I can easily say I will not be purchasing another GE washer after this experience. My previous Whirlpool front load lasted over 10 years!

This machine is a piece of cake to operate. A cycle for every type of clothing and soil level.

After only 2 years our washing machine is costing us 1,100 to repair. Obviously we are just going to buy a new washing machine as the repair cost is equivalent to a new machine. We will not be buying GE products again.. ever! I was told that one of the parts (Maybe the barring) inside the machine melted which is causing the loud rattling and banging sound. Literally sounds like an airplane jet. It scares the kids right out of their sleep. This is not covered under GE 10 year warranty. Unbelievable! If you read other reviews.. seems like this happens more often than not. An issue with manufacturer possibly

I have only had this unit a few years and it needed the drum replaced in Sept 2019. Now it is shaking so violently I am scared it will explode. Not to mention it is so loud you can hear it in my basement from the other side of the house. I spent a lot of money on this unit and it has been a total disaster from month 5. Oh and this is the second until I have had the first one was a lemon and replaced with this one which made it only a little longer than a year each fix.
