Pros- I like how you go to different dealers and gets different cars, the gameplay is amazing, it runs substantially well, looks amazing docked & even in handheld mode. I also like the different assistance settings & can modify to what fits you best.
Cons- This game could have had separate mode if you wanted to do just one instead of going adventure mode. Certain tracks did have some frame rate dips but it still ran substantial well. Not being able to modify the controls.
Overall it’s great game I’m having a blast with it. I haven’t made it too far yet. I highly recommend playing it one the best racing games I’ve ever played.

The Positives:
+ A pretty solid lineup of licensed cars of various performance levels
+ A fairly lengthy career mode, even if it is a bit by-the-numbers
+ Solid multiplayer support
+ Reasonably decent graphics
+ Includes a code for most of the DLC and at this price, likely the cheapest way to get the entire GCU2 experience at this time
The Drawbacks:
- The load times are pretty lengthy and rather frequent, ESPECIALLY when initially booting up the game
- The difficulty curve is pretty uneven; the AI oscillates between pushover and really tricky to keep up with
- The garage where you upgrade your cars' performance and customize appearance is pretty clunky to use
- The steering doesn't really feel as tight as it should, which makes the cars feel a bit floaty, though the Endurance DLC mode feels somewhat better
- The English translation (from its native French) is really pretty substandard using awkward terms like "Validate" instead of "OK", "Accept", "Confirm", etc.
- There is now a complete edition that includes all of the DLC on the cart, so this really isn't the version to buy anymore
Overview:
Gear.Club Unlimited 2 is a fine racing game that just lacks that last bit of spark to really stand amongst the genre's best. It has a nice lineup of cars and a good amount of content, but the load times are genuinely not great and steering feels a bit floaty. The career mode is quite serviceable but a bit bland. I'll also have to say that the translation to English from its native French is a bit rough, with tips using terms like "aspiration" instead of "drafting" or "slip-streaming."
Despite its faults, I've quite enjoyed this game and have a bit of a soft spot for it. If I could I would give it 3 1/2 stars, but that's not possible and I like it more than a 3 star rating would indicate.
As I mentioned in the points above, at this point there's not much reason to buy this version when you can buy GCU2 Definitive Edition. That way, you get all of the DLC on cart and save yourself having to download a 2.5 GB patch. That's why I'm not recommending this particular version; not because I don't like the game, but there's a superior version to buy as of a week and a half ago.

The game is very straight forward but a pretty good time killer. It have a large variety of cars. The track line up is pretty good as well. The only issue I mainly have with the game is the load time. It is not horrible but a little longer than I expected.

Was a fan of Gear Club Unlimited 1 and 2 so when I saw they had this Tracks edition, I had to get it. One of the next “sim racing” games available for the Nintendo Switch. I was able to download the Porsche Edition DLC as well that was on sale through Nintendo’s e-shop.

Suffers from the limitations all racing games have

I think the limitations of any car racing game on the Switch tends to be a result of the tradeoff of the platform itself. I'm okay with racing games with unrealistic physics (like Forza Horizon 4 on PC/Xbox) and I understand that the feedback of a controller will never match a wheel (like Gran Turismo Sport on PS4), but Gear Club's lack of actual car control forces the player to rely on car correction by the game (adhering the car to the race line). You can choose a more "pro" driving style, but the lack of graduated acceleration from the controller tends to put the player in a blip and steer mode of 100% accelerator to 0% to coax the car in line.
The storyline and dialog is typically bad and reminds me of the dialog of, say, Pokemon Go. It's possibly just a bad translation of dialog from Japanese to English, but the stilted encouragement of the characters is pretty bad.
At the end of the day, I guess I keep hoping for a racing game on the Switch that takes the sheer fun of Mario Cart and bolts it onto a game with cars licensed from actual manufacturers. I love the Switch and its ability to be both a console and a handheld, but the ports of racing games end up suffering from the limitations of the console.

Got it because it was a reasonably price racing game for the Switch. It is average at best as the functions are not very advanced.
