Gears 5 plays like its formal predecessors, but even a whole lot better! Like Gears of War 4 you play the same characters, but this time, they have more room to shoot and splatter. If you enjoy a good story, Then this game is worth getting. Gears of War 4 left us with a mystery and now you can find out in Gears 5!

Great game, especially in the series X. Love the story and where it is going, and the multiplayer is fun as always. They didnt reinvent the wheel from Epic days so dont think you will like it if you didnt like the previous games, but the gameplay is as clean, smooth, and fun as it has always been.

Last time I played Gears was GoW 2... so it's been a hot minute. Just bought a Xbox 1 (been playing PlayStation for the last 8 years) so it was great to get back to this franchise! The graphics are great, the campaign has been solid (so far) and the multiplayer modes are like I remembered! So pumped to get back into this franchise!!

While I haven't beaten it yet, Gears 5 is a masterpiece in graphics, presentation, and cover based gun play, just like its predecessors. Kait is a great protagonist, and I was surprised to find that this one had a bit of an open world approach to it, as well. I'm probably half way through, and loving every chance I get to play it!

Been playing Gears since it first came out. Love the story line in this campaign. One of the few games you actually feel connected to the characters. If you have never played a Gears game, it takes a minute to get used to the controls. Played multiplayer, didn’t care for it. Mostly got the game to play single player.

This game is an upgrade to Gears of War 4, which I enjoyed but was still disappointed with. This game improves on that. The graphics are superb and the story is a a solid one. As for the gameplay, it has not changed since the first Gears game. It is a great game for any of the series and for any casual gamer as well.

Wow the campaign mode is many hours of fun. On easy mode it took well over 10+ hours of game play to complete. In addition to that, there is another side campaign that you can play as well. Haven't done multiplayer yet, but assume the experience is the same with previous Gears series. Purchased on a whim over the holidays for $11.50 at BBY and have to say that it is well worth the purchase. Thanks BBY for an awesome game at a ridiculously awesome price!

This was such a good deal at $5 I bought two and the kicker is I don't even own an Xbox. I later got an Xbox One X and it looks soooo good on my LG C9 tv playing at 120hz with VRR. But if you already have XBox Game Pass this game is includes so why no just gift it for Christmas.

This is one game that offers entertainment value from it's story mode, as well as replay value from it's multiplayer modes. Let's start off with the story mode. If you have never played any gears games before this one, there's a previously gears movie that brings you up to date. The story is like an interactive movie with very detailed characters and backgrounds that make you want to start and never stop playing! The multiplayer has a few choices in including a mode where you and other online players play co-op to defeat monsters wave after wave while another option let's you play co-op after you've entered the hive and fight your way to freedom. Every week new maps are released and the harder you put the difficulty, the more better the rewards are. You also level up each character individually which unlocks new perks to help with harder difficulty. Overall this game is highly recommended if you own an Xbox One. A must have!!

Top notch third person action game with best in class graphics. With the series x upgrade it might be the best looking game on console. Good story that answers lots of questions dating back to the beginning of the series. Great game for hardcore fans and new comers alike.

Great gameplay, great story continuation, wished it would have lasted longer. I didn't realize I was at the end of the game until after the fact; I was expecting at least a few more hours of gameplay. Graphics were great, storyline good, but would like a little more building on that, and then building on more backstory and following of the gap of JD disappearing or a while. Either way, still a pretty decent nod to the franchise.

This game is so good, from the story to the dlc to the multiplayer. This game looks amazing and plays incredible.

One of the best games on Xbox 1. The graphics are amazing and the gameplay is epic. I was skeptical about the story when it was announced but Kait’s story was excellent. Multiplayer is a blast but can be frustrating at times especially against good players.

Another hit in the gears of war series. Great multiplayer, campaign, horde, and the new escape mode! The only downfall is somebody has to be the robot instead of a cog if playing co-op campaign which can get kind of boring for the person having to play as Jack the entire time.

Its an amazing game but also on gamepass if you wanna try it out. Its more open world than previous entries and in my opinion the characters aren't as interesting as the originals in 1 through 3 but it still plays great and the visuals are the best.

The story continues right where it left off, Gears fans will enjoy the story. Graphics look as good as expected on a 4K tv. If your new to Gears play 4 first the original games from 360 have a different story line. You can go back and play those anytime with backward compatibility.

Great game! I’ve been playing gears since day one, I played every one leading up until gears 5! Storyline picks up right from gears 4! Awesome storyline! awesome game!

Campaign and horde mode are on point. Some of the other extra modes are really good as well, but multiplayer in general is a bit lacking in my opinion as shotguns dominate the game play without much variability amongst other weapons. Still, the price makes it almost a must buy.

Quality title for Xbox. A lot of content has dropped for this game since release which only adds to the value here. Great graphics and story and the action can't be beat. One of the best franchises Microsoft currently has
