Excellent and fun campaign with all the characters. Story is good, combat, visuals and gameplay is amazing! This game support Dolby atmos and DTS X i use a proper headphone the game is even better! Multiplayer is fun as the previous gears and addictive

Better Graphics, improved storyline, new weapons and don’t forget the terminators, this should be the game of the year! Improved training level and improved weapon selection. More action than before and better in game player options. Overall I give an 10 out of 10 score.

I want to love Gears of War 5 because of how great the gameplay is but I just can’t. I will say that if you only play Gears of War for the campaign, you absolutely should buy it because it’s great. I know a lot of people were worried about this but there’s no political messaging I noticed in the story. The story is excellent, by the way. My only issues with the campaign is that open world is too dead and boring at times, and the ending is an incomplete cliffhanger. The multiplayer is where I absolutely despise this game, though. If feels more casual than competitive, which I know will upset some people, but the biggest problem is the absolutely absurd pace of progression all in the name of trying to force you into buying microtransactions. If you choose not to give in to this horrible system like me, it will take you almost FIFTEEN HOURS OF GAMEPLAY TO UNLOCK NEW CHARACTERS! DO NOT buy this game if you play Gears for the multiplayer aspect!

This the best campaign in gears history! Love the open world mechanics. The story is engaging and long. Multiplayer is still top notch!!

For those of you who have been playing since the beginning you will not be disappointed in this latest endeavor the graphics characters and plot twist will make you happy you picked it up beautiful open world and some aspects to explore just make sure that you pick up everything you need to pick up because the the enemy is in abundance LOL

Gears 5 is a great looking and playing game that looks even better on One X and then even more on Series X. The story is great and there are a variety of levels with some great gameplay. There is even some great DLC. The game and DLC are free with Game Pass, but having Game Pass I bought this to have physically in my collection. The only downside of the game are the large open world levels that exist in a few places in the game. But even with these the game is well worth playing and a great experience.

This review relates to the campaign only, as I haven't touched the multi-player yet - All Gears, all the time. I'm only about 10% into the game, but I have thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. Graphics are amazing, control is fantastic, story is engaging. It's exactly what I wanted out of the latest Gears. It's a little buggy with some of the collectibles vanishing and reappearing, but that's become pretty standard at launch, so I can't hold that against this game. Highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good 'n gory shooter.

Great game for the Xbox One Console, the graphics are great and plenty action. Price on sale made it a good value.

I’ve been a big fan of the gears of war franchise. From the Xbox 360 to now the Xbox one I’ve always loved their story modes with No other than Marcus fenix! Gears 5 along with gears 4 has been a little different with new playable characters. This time we have options to play with Kate Diaz or del. Multiplayer is great.

I have followed the story from the first gears of war and I loved it. the game play is very good, you have good control over your character. Each game that has come out has been as good, if not better than the first. the graphics is very good and moves smoothly from cut scene to play, the characters are interesting, and the voice acting is excellent. I recommend this game to anyone who likes 3rd person shooters and very good story telling. I love this series and can't wait for the next game.

I got this on sale for $10 during the pandemic and it's been a load of fun for my son. I'm not much of a FPS gamer so I asked him how he liked it after a few days. He says that the gameplay is not too difficult with a good storyline and the graphics are top notch on my Xbox One X. If you have Microsoft Ultimate, this is currently free and I would still buy it as it is always on sale and is a great game for FPS fans.

This looks amazing on the Xbox One X. Started playing on gamepass when the game was released. Played the story mode first thing. Really big game. More open ended than any of the past Gears games. All of the multiplayer is top notch. Horde mode is best with friends and very addictive. Escape mode is great with friends. PVP I only play on occasion. Don't miss out on this game, the game play and graphics are incredible.

If there is one exclusive shooter title that stands out on the Xbox it would be the Gears series besides Halo. Gears of war 5 is a beautiful and visually stunning 3rd person shooter which picks where Gears 4 ends and follows up on the story of Kait Diaz. The story telling was good, and the gameplay is your typical Gears style mechanism that we are all accustomed to with a few enhancements. Great experience overall especially if you co op and play online as well.

Have only played campaign mode, so that is all I can comment on. Visually this game is stunning in 4K with HDR10. At least on my Xbox Series X. I have an Xbox One S as well, but have not run it on there, and don’t know if it would run as well on that old system. Really enjoy the campaign mode great story, and fun.

I have always been a fan of the Gears games, and 5 didn't disappoint. I played this on the Series X and it looks amazing, the characters all have great storylines, and with the ability to choose which character you get 3 different experiences. Gears 5 is one of my favorite games I have played this year

Gears 5 is awesome with killer graphics. This game keeps the core gameplay intact while adding enough new elements to keep the series fresh. The campaign is very entertaining. I love the featured support of Jack. The multiplayer is also fun, you have plenty of modes to have fun with. If you’re a Gears fan, this is a must have.

I can still remember the first time I played the first gears of war back on the xbox 360. Oh the memories! Here we are now with Gears 5 and so far so good. Great pacing, loads of action and a great story. Highly recommend it. A must own!
