Gears 5 is a great looking and playing game that looks even better on One X and then even more on Series X. The story is great and there are a variety of levels with some great gameplay. There is even some great DLC. The game and DLC are free with Game Pass, but having Game Pass I bought this to have physically in my collection. The only downside of the game are the large open world levels that exist in a few places in the game. But even with these the game is well worth playing and a great experience.

I have followed the story from the first gears of war and I loved it. the game play is very good, you have good control over your character. Each game that has come out has been as good, if not better than the first. the graphics is very good and moves smoothly from cut scene to play, the characters are interesting, and the voice acting is excellent. I recommend this game to anyone who likes 3rd person shooters and very good story telling. I love this series and can't wait for the next game.

I got this on sale for $10 during the pandemic and it's been a load of fun for my son. I'm not much of a FPS gamer so I asked him how he liked it after a few days. He says that the gameplay is not too difficult with a good storyline and the graphics are top notch on my Xbox One X. If you have Microsoft Ultimate, this is currently free and I would still buy it as it is always on sale and is a great game for FPS fans.

This looks amazing on the Xbox One X. Started playing on gamepass when the game was released. Played the story mode first thing. Really big game. More open ended than any of the past Gears games. All of the multiplayer is top notch. Horde mode is best with friends and very addictive. Escape mode is great with friends. PVP I only play on occasion. Don't miss out on this game, the game play and graphics are incredible.

If there is one exclusive shooter title that stands out on the Xbox it would be the Gears series besides Halo. Gears of war 5 is a beautiful and visually stunning 3rd person shooter which picks where Gears 4 ends and follows up on the story of Kait Diaz. The story telling was good, and the gameplay is your typical Gears style mechanism that we are all accustomed to with a few enhancements. Great experience overall especially if you co op and play online as well.

I have always been a fan of the Gears games, and 5 didn't disappoint. I played this on the Series X and it looks amazing, the characters all have great storylines, and with the ability to choose which character you get 3 different experiences. Gears 5 is one of my favorite games I have played this year

Gears 5 is awesome with killer graphics. This game keeps the core gameplay intact while adding enough new elements to keep the series fresh. The campaign is very entertaining. I love the featured support of Jack. The multiplayer is also fun, you have plenty of modes to have fun with. If you’re a Gears fan, this is a must have.

It seems weird that they dropped the "...of War" part of the title for this fifth entry to the Gears of War series. However whether you've played them before or not, anyone can pick up and play this third person cover shooter alone or with a friend and have a blast. Looks even better on the new Xbox Series X to boot!

While I haven't beaten it yet, Gears 5 is a masterpiece in graphics, presentation, and cover based gun play, just like its predecessors. Kait is a great protagonist, and I was surprised to find that this one had a bit of an open world approach to it, as well. I'm probably half way through, and loving every chance I get to play it!

This game is highly underrated. The graphics and gameplay are top notch. One of my favorite xbox one games and it looks so much better on series x. Probably the best Gears game.

This is one game that offers entertainment value from it's story mode, as well as replay value from it's multiplayer modes. Let's start off with the story mode. If you have never played any gears games before this one, there's a previously gears movie that brings you up to date. The story is like an interactive movie with very detailed characters and backgrounds that make you want to start and never stop playing! The multiplayer has a few choices in including a mode where you and other online players play co-op to defeat monsters wave after wave while another option let's you play co-op after you've entered the hive and fight your way to freedom. Every week new maps are released and the harder you put the difficulty, the more better the rewards are. You also level up each character individually which unlocks new perks to help with harder difficulty. Overall this game is highly recommended if you own an Xbox One. A must have!!

good game overall. I've played all gears of war games, and despite them feeling kind of the same, there is nothing equal out there. Im playing this game on pc and the games look and plays excellent. i would recommend this game to anyone, just try to get it discounted.

Great gameplay, great story continuation, wished it would have lasted longer. I didn't realize I was at the end of the game until after the fact; I was expecting at least a few more hours of gameplay. Graphics were great, storyline good, but would like a little more building on that, and then building on more backstory and following of the gap of JD disappearing or a while. Either way, still a pretty decent nod to the franchise.

Gears 5 is probably the best one in the series. The game play is incredible, like that its not linear as the previous games in the series and the story line is solid...played a ton of it already and just bought it a week ago. The graphics are top notch to boot.

Another hit in the gears of war series. Great multiplayer, campaign, horde, and the new escape mode! The only downfall is somebody has to be the robot instead of a cog if playing co-op campaign which can get kind of boring for the person having to play as Jack the entire time.

One of the best games on Xbox 1. The graphics are amazing and the gameplay is epic. I was skeptical about the story when it was announced but Kait’s story was excellent. Multiplayer is a blast but can be frustrating at times especially against good players.

Wow the campaign mode is many hours of fun. On easy mode it took well over 10+ hours of game play to complete. In addition to that, there is another side campaign that you can play as well. Haven't done multiplayer yet, but assume the experience is the same with previous Gears series. Purchased on a whim over the holidays for $11.50 at BBY and have to say that it is well worth the purchase. Thanks BBY for an awesome game at a ridiculously awesome price!

If you're into Gears of War, this is really more of the same, but with fantastic graphics. I've always found the gears games satisfying if not a little too repetitive for my liking. Keep in mind that I only play single-player, so if multiplayer is your thing, you might have a different experience. The graphics and cover/shoot game-play is as tight and fun as ever.
