The story line is what hooked me in but the multi-player games keep me playing. The story line continues to amaze. I'm not a very good at PVP but I still love trying the different PVP games. Horde is where I excel as I'm a team oriented player. Horde concept in Gears 5 is basically the same as Gears 2,3,4 but adds character special skills and makes players themselves collect power, which used to be mainly the job of the scout. If you're into the Gears of War franchise, this is another great pick-up and if you haven't you're missing out.

Really enjoyed the first 3 hours of the single player campaign. Reminds me of God War art wise, super beautiful landscapes.

Horde mode is fantastic and campaign so far does not disappoint. Strongly recommend this entry in the series and the visuals have never been better

Game is amazing overall, but.....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The only issue I had was when I went to pick up the game & a label made sticker with name & preorder number was stuck to the side of the game slipcover. Removing the sticker destroyed the whole side of the slipcover. Doesn't affect the disc or anything but as a collector I don't want any labels of stickers slapped all over my product. Other than that, Gears 5 is possibly the best Gears to date

But, this fifth entry in Microsoft’s iconic action game series is the most refined, best looking, and technologically impressive title yet. For the few players that are new to the series, there’s plenty to like as well, and there is really no need to have played the other games to get the gist of what is essentially a very by-the-numbers story typical of games in this genre. Shooter fans and adventure fans will find plenty to love.

Even though the game is available on game pass Gears 5 renewed my love for the franchise that I had to get it physically. This gem is by far one of the most beautiful games on this console and even this generation. It’s impressive how the Xbox one X can render this in full 4K (with some dynamic rendering) and a clean 60fps. It’s one of the only games that actually makes my console whistle by how hot it gets
