I’ve tried multi player and it is fantastic and the new mode escape hade me on the edge of my seat plus you can create your own levels in that mode. Horde is great but they changed it a little but that I assume was for balance and in that case it works. Not all characters have access to the same things in the replicator box. Great game. Better than 4

Love what they have done with the series. To be honest the campaigns are not always the strongest, but they are enjoyable. The new Escape mode is pretty addicting. If you have played the previous games this is a must play. I would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of the Franchise.

Its a phenomenal game! Absolutely beautiful, completely playable and just fun. As an adult I'm only really interested in the campaign, but my son has convinced me to play the Horde modes...this game is great!

Cover mechanics and new weapons all have smooth fluid movements. The drama continues in the Gears tradition, which despite me being a guy, they managed to rip my heart out again! Play it, enjoy it, then enjoy the multiplayer.

Excellent chapter in the Gears series

Good story, the elements where you can upgrade JAKK, and the open world aspects of acts 2 and 3 are a welcome addition to the series. You do get to learn more about Kait's heritage as you progress through the game. Overall, the campaign was enjoyable, I'm looking forward to trying horde and escape mode with friends when they finish the storyline.

The Ultimate Edition is essential for anyone who's a fan and collector. It's loaded with content and the Steelbook is gorgeous. It's painted by one of my favorite artists Alex Ross.

Even if you’ve never been interested in Gears of War, I’d recommend checking this one out on Xbox Game Pass at least. It’s about as good as blockbuster shooters get.

For those of you with an Xbox One X, you'll be happy to know that the game runs in 4K AND HDR AND 60 FPS...all simultaneously...across ALL game modes!! It looks stunning!! The only exception is local split-screen.
