They did a good job with this game. It feels like the old gears games. If you're looking for a good campaign and multiplayer this game is for you

First off, GoW4 has included something that many games no longer valid, couch co-op! You can play the campaign, horde, and multiplayer with a friend on the same screen. They also included a co-op multiplayer feature which allows a player to team up with four other players to play multiplayer vs bots! Far too many games don't offer this feature. It's a great way to play multiplayer without the insane skills required to complete with the seasoned human players. Besides, I've never been a fan of the "rolling shotgun" technique ALL human players use in multiplayer. As for the campaign, it's not revolutionary, but it does start true to the gears roots. If you liked gears 1, you'll enjoy this campaign. I only wish it was four player co-op....

Awesomeness has returned. Great campaign. Really fun horde and multiplayer modes. Am really glad i switched from PS4 back to Xbox One for this.

I plated the story and had a blast but didn't have much interest in playing any of the On-line modes...graphics and story are very good though and I would recommend picking this game up at a discount if you can.

Graphics are leaps and bounds above previous games as can be expected on the Xbox 1. Love the continuation of the series and great story plot!

I have been playing Gears of War since the beginning and this game has been great so far. Co-op Campaign and Multiplayer are great all around.

Picked this up recently and the gamer in me came back out to play as we spent hours in 2-player mode (there's a girl character, which I of course loved), bashing monsters, chainsawing locusts and fighting our way through the crazy awesomeness that is Gears of War 4. One of the best games I've played. Reminded me of my other fave, Rise of the Tomb Raider, in terms of graphics and how fun the battle scenes were. We got through fairly quickly - the only downside - and can't wait to go back through on Insane mode. Tons and tons of fun!!

Beautiful graphics so far, game is breathtaking at times. If you have a 4K TV with HDR you'll be very happy with it. Don't expect the gameplay to change much but the new weapons and bad guys really step it up.

I found the graphics to be quite good, not running it in HDR mode, but still looks great. It also handles quite well. Story is interesting.

First off let me just say this game is beautiful. If you are a Gears of War fan already you will love this installment, the gameplay is buttery smooth and super crisp at the same time. Being able to change up your control scheme to tournament style does wonders! If you are new to Gears of War this is a perfect place to start because this games comes with the Gears of War collection! you get every game! If you like fun videogame violence with gory kills, an awesome campaign and a great online multiplayer then this game is for you.

With The Coalition taking over duties to the beloved Gears of War franchise With Judgement, this true sequel had me skeptical. They didn't disappoint. The introduction of new characters while showing our old favorites was nice. The banter between characters is fun and doesn't seem forced. The new monsters didn't break any new ground for most of them, but there are some nice new additions that make the shootouts a new experience. The Multi-player on the otherhand suffers from the same issues that have plagued the series since GOW2. Major host advantages are always evident. Chainsawing adversaries online sometimes end in your death even if you snuck up behind them. This is the one and only knock against a great game.

Gears of War 4 is a great game it stays original to the Gears fanbase with the controls/story/multiplayer an amazing Xbox One/MS exclusive.

I have been playing this game almost non-stop since it came out. Great visuals, campaign, and of course multiplayer! Horde is my favorite!

Gears of War returns with great action, voice acting, and story starting off a new trilogy in the series that is sure to please everyone!

This game is amazingly fun and challenging. The horde mode is a blast with friends. The campaign is also really good for you solo players.

Graphics are amazing! Much better than before, you can see a lot more enhanced details. Lots of new features, great story line. This game is not for young children, they may get scared.

Everyone has always been so hyped on GOW and I finally decided to take the plunge and buy an XBOX to play its exclusives and mainly CUPHEAD (which is fantastic btw). The brutish character design and Jimmy Neutron style CG is really an eye sore and a turn off for me. The gameplay feels very rinse and repeat and the story and acting is laughable. I played the first game on the PC and never finished because it felt clunky on a keyboard and mouse and I honestly wasn't that into it. I was really wanting to be wowed by GOW4 but it's just ok. I played thru 50 waves online and really had to force myself to keep going for the 3 hours it took to complete. Co-op in the story is the biggest redeeming factor in the game. There is a reason it's on 19.99 you get what you pay for. I'm going to try out Halo 5 next and see what the hype is about.
